Check the previous posts. I have mentioned both. Try to get a jean jacket if possible. Else you will feel uncomfortable and it also unsafe in case of a fall.

in addition i would also like to modify
muffler - please suggest me one good one. and
also want to change my rear brake into disc brake. (how far it is successful). where can i get it done in chennai.

am likely planning it to by mid of jan after the pongal vacation.
please suggest some good mechanic where i can get these down in a perfect way..

Firstly welcome to xbhp (chennai). Appreciate your query. My suggestion, keep your bike in stock condition. Mufflers are of no great use apart from making noise and polluting. Also rear disc won't help much. Anyways you can carry on with small modifications initially and go for bigger once after experience. But please take this question to the Yamaha FZ/FZ16 Ownership Thread where FZ owners can really help you.

                          Cheers!

If you are planing about muffler you can surely debaffle it and have fun. No problems. You are lucky to have the muffler cover, the tinkers work wont be shown outside.

I think the rear drum is really nice in fz and is perfectly adequate for the speed you could possibly travel

Please a humble request dont go for the disk setup. You will surely lose power. You are making your more heavier already you have a really fat tyre in the back. I even saw a guy who switched to a pulsar 220 wheel in the rear to gain more power. Have you ridden a fz with the rear disk? If you are not still compromised I will ask my friend for this work.
