pondi is about 90 to 100 kms from Mahabalipuram through the ECR road.when you reach the city ask direction to guindy and then to tidal park from her getting to the ecr road is a breeze.Mahabs should be around 45 kns from tidel park and pondi another 100 odd kms away.

        • Isn't there a diversion after Krishnagiri or something on the highway that leads to Pondy?

EDIT: Yep, the route does exist. Its a diversion from Krishnagiri off NH46 to NH66. Check maps.google.com. Thats a shorter route. Only 314 kms to Pondy. If u come thru Chennai u will be doing close to 450 kms. Am not sure of the road condition for the Bangy-Pondy route via NH66 though. From Pondy, Mahabalipuram is a 140 kms distance.

We would love to have a track day again! But there is a possible two day ride around the second week of June. So could the track day be on 20 / 21st June?

Pondy is flooded with Hotels Prabhu. Search online, I have no idea. But if ur particular about sunrise, look out for hotels on the beach road. There is a hotel named PROMENADE run by the HIDESIGN group. Its awesome but I think rates should be on the higher side. There is also a french hotel named LE DUPLEIX. Its not on beach road but is ultimate on luxury and charges 5-star rates!! Search online, am sure u shud stumble on a lot of hotels!
