I am looking for a good mechanic that I can trust my FZ with, in and around Porur(Mugalivakkam, Madhanadhnapuram, Kundrathur Road) all and any recommendations are appreciated greatly.

^Need reason why you don't want to approach service center. There is a ownership thread for FZ, would recommend posting your query. Also, we believe in joining biking community to learn and share than use it as a directory.

Let's meet up!

I see many newbies interested in long road trips and want to explore new places. Chennai Xbhp meet regularly, thought would make it more interesting.

We can have a discussion on the following topics:-

Ride preparation
Hand signals
Safety
Riding etiquettes (solo/group)
Gear up
Planning
Check/Identifying issues
Troubleshooting
Best practices.

The above topics would give you a good idea and to make the road trip a successful one. For some it might not be something new but could be a refresher.

Senior tourers:- you all are most welcome to be part of this meet to encourage and share your thoughts.

The plan is on a weekend where most of us will be available. More details to follow shortly.

Thanks for your reply, If asking about something people have first hand experience/trust doesn't amount to help and sharing, I am puzzled what else would!
To answer your question, I have lost trust in the authorized centers, I have enough reasons to be, and yes I am following the FZ thread, I wanted the query to reach members from a particular area hence posted it here.

^I might be nowhere close to expert but if you could share the issue, anyone who had gone through similar problem might shall their thoughts. It's rare to find good technician these days and all out there to mint money and deceive us.
So I suggest you to start with model, year, odo done, your observation, your bikes service/issues history, and your thoughts about change in bikes behaviour.

There's service center near valsalravakam arcot road(Near Mac'd) ,I have been there most of the times they do good servicing and try to explain in deep and pick one of the service guy which can help you in better way .

Guys i plan to get the Sena SMH10 bluetooth headset before the interstate ride. Heard that the device is a lot cheaper in US (around 6k Difference). Posting this here - if any of your friends are returning to Chennai from US who can help to buy this for me? A dual pack. Please PM me.
