I don't know why, but I've to agree with you though I'm not comfortable with Feb 1.

In that case, I would request to keep it a short ride to some isolated location, have chit-chat & then return (I'm reminded of the Sriperumbudur ride, you remember Sri?). Chunnambar & things are certainly a call of disaster to me with deprived sleep.

@All - How many are NOT comfortable doing a ride on 1st Feb? How many ARE for Feb 2nd? Sorry for starting this again but need to know clear picture.

No issues Sri. Pls don't restart for me. If I'm sleepy, I'll show up for a meet & go home. Let's go with majority & I don't want to spoil what the majority is comfortable.

Sriperumbudur to Vallakottai used to be a super duper stretch in 2001 Sri. Amazing that we wouldn't believe now that the real green zone was only 70 odd km from Chennai

Sri - a personal request please - kindly ping me on my phone whenever whatever is decided. I would like to drop in and meet some of the good ol'gang. Of course meeting some of the newbies would be good too. just a suggestion though - if its going to be just a short ride, we need not wake up at ungodly hours!

I guess everyone is okay with feb1. Lets decide on the destination now. I'm okay with anything, though since some of the members want it to be short, like a breakfast ride, how about Pondy? We can return by NH 45. I think most will be comfortable with that. What do you guys say?

Original Plan was to ride till Chunnambar which is 7km (approx) from Pondy towards Cuddalore. Since we have some members wanted to have it short ride.


First Chennai xbhp ride to Nagalapuram, AP

Ride date - 1st Feb 2014
Time: 6:30 AM
Meeting point - Toll Booth after Puzhal Jail towards Nellore (just can't miss)
Destination - Nagalapuram - Some tree shade anywhere suitable for the group.
Return - 12 PM approximately (considering traffic)
Distance - Round trip not more than 250 kms (approx).

Basic requirement - Helmet, Riding Jacket, Riding gloves, knee guards(preferred),

What to take along? - Water bottle and few namkeens/biscuits.

Newbies, kindly ensure that you have some senior's number along with you to better be in touch and communicate.

Request you all to be the meeting point as planned so we don't miss each other.

Route - Start from Toll booth after Puzhal, Satyavedu, Uthukottai, Nalamangalam forest.

Usually I don't move out from bike to explore far off places in an unknown territory. Just to let you know, its going to be my first time to this place. Just wanted try a different place and gain experience. Spare me if it is not good.
