Like I mentioned earlier, this Teflon coating is just detailing. The polish used and the polishing equipment used is from 3M.

Ya did this and took my bike today only. they dint do the Rectifier replacement to CA series saying no stock. have to replace that soon from my BA. worst service. i have to sit and find all faults and rectified it there itself for 1 hr then came.

so it was ur bike i saw in the morning.. looking cool after the teflon coat.. oops detailing.. man will get mine by thursday.

Tada looks quite a good place. Read in a few blogs. If we are just for chit chatting, we can even go to Poondi dam. It also has a shady parts(after riding on some patched roads). Bee there once with my colleagues. But not sure about the route.

As usual I'm doing a Saturday night shift, I'm OK for a ride on Sunday morning - But I CANNOT start before 6 30 AM. How long you guys planning to stay there in the falls?

Ananth, I think 6 am is good enough to start from chennai. We should be there for atleast few hours (I guess). It would be great if you can join us there.

Been long since i dropped into to the thread by then many pages of discussion have flew by; so sticking to the current topic of places for sunday ride.

1. Tada Falls - Its a good place for trek, but to find a decent shade from the place where we parked our bikes it would be minimum 0.5 km. also there was no proper parking for 2 wheelers as far as i know, last i went was a year back.

2. Pulicat Lake - 60+km - I know thats in northside and thats the info i know.

3. Poondi Dam - 60+km from chennai - Again i dont know much information.

4. Konai falls - 60+ km from chennai - again not much information abt the place(found some details abt the place in the net)

probably we can have a poll to decide on the place.

Guyz, having some problem in my mobile sim card due to which i wasn't able to call or send reply messages properly to few of you- kindly excuse me for that.; moreover i have joined in Accenture to give Amit a company that was keeping me busy for some days.

@Ananth- Good to see you have ordered new set of gears. probably i might need a help from you regardin bringin down a stuff too. you have a PM.

Good to see your post after a long time. I appreciate for letting know few other places as well around north chennai, which gives us more option to choose from.

If I were you, would not expect a picture perfect places, rather go and find out regarding good place where we can enjoy discussion. It is all about ride safe and anything else is second for me.

is anyone's wife/gf/"special other" interested in this weekend's ride to tada or wherever ? my spouse doesnt mind the occasional long drive as pillion and hence was looking for company else u guys carry on and have a good time !!

Congrats. And for Your PM, I would not recommend it. Will give you some cheaper Indian alternatives for that. for 20$ (1000Rs.) They aren't worth it.

@srini: You can rbing your wife along, as long as she doesnt feel out of company with a bunch of souls who ramble about bikes all the time.
I'll try to bring along someone for later g2g's. she can always take some advice in cooking and other worldly issues

+ 1 for Kone - actually for those who haven't been there - it's more of a 'trickle' than a 'fall' , but the ride should be good.

Actually I'm sure my wife wouldn't mind joining in for a ride - she likes the occasional ride to Bessie for chai twice a week - but I'm not sure that she or for that matter even I can do a 100+ km ride together. Since we haven't done long rides together, I'm not sure. Also, she doesn't have any gear other than a helmet.
