How about going some place else ? Why not ride towards Hyderabad ? Just a suggestion, since we have not ridden that side.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostI'm thinking of riding to CCD Mandya. Before we head there we can pit-stop at Kanva dam. Although i have ridden on mysore road plenty of times, i've never been to Kanva.
We can plan to leave at 5.30am sharp. We should be back by noon or latest by 1.30pm.
As of now Tibby & gd76 have confirmed for this ride. Let me know if you are in.
Still not decided if we are gonna ride on sat or sunday. Yercaud is out for me at the moment.
You serious about an overnight stay mate? Cant do any overnighters right now, for at least another week or so.
Wanna join us to Mandya CCD? Been long time and it was our first ride together huh?
CHEERS,

Isn't that a single lane?Originally posted by unirider View Post*How about some hilly terrain? I think it is more fun to ride in heights. At least Muthathi... *If on Sunday.
*thumbs up*Originally posted by Exo View PostI'm in for a ride. Either saturday or sunday or both
updated below.Originally posted by prads.cs View PostPlease update the time ! Locations ! etc.... I am close to PESIT... Never been to Kanva dam .. so got no clue on the route . keep me posted :-)
The roads are fantastic on this stretch but it gets boring after a while. There is a Kamat enroute but after that nothing for miles together. Plus on the way back we have to maintain 60kmph on the BIAL stretch.Originally posted by gd76 View PostHow about going some place else ? Why not ride towards Hyderabad ? I just checked the weather forecast and its gonna rain today evening (6-12mm of rain predicted) and it might rain tomorrow morning as well.
So lets go with the plan for tomorrow. If it rains and the roads are too slick to ride we can postpone to Sunday.
Here is the plan...
Event - Ride to Mandya CCD (stop at Kanva dam enroute)
Date - Oct 2nd 2010
Meeting time and place - 5.15 am in front of Wipro Madivala (next to madivala police station ; near total mall, madivala). Please be on time. We will leave at 5.30 am sharp.
Confirmed riders:
1. Tibby
2. gd76
3. prad.cs
4. exo
5. n_aditya
Mandatory requirements - Protective riding gear such as helmets and jackets, vehicle documents, Drivers license, etc.
I will call Ark (Reggie) and hifisharu and check if they are coming along too.
P.S. Nice to see a good number of riders after such a long time.
ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Bang your head, while standing opposite/close to a wall, speed @2-3kmph? Hurts?
Increase your speed & watch the fun, when someone falls from a Motorcycle, unfortunately he can't choose which way to fall best & hurt himself less.

Not done bro. Having a ninja and not waking up early for a ride is sacrilege.Originally posted by killer_instinct View PostIts about time I rode along with you... Add me to the tentative. Tentative because waking up early in the morning on a weekend is the hardest thing on earth.
Keep your phone ON with the loudest tone and I'll ensure you wake up for the ride. I'll call you when I wake up.
Dont stretch yourself bro. Its not safe to ride without rest and sleep. Try and get at least 3-4 hrs of sleep before the ride.Originally posted by Scorcher View PostMe too, if im coming after my night shift!

Agreed! I caught myself napping (several times) on the 2009 Independence Day ride, while riding through the Kanakpura countryside.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostDont stretch yourself bro. Its not safe to ride without rest and sleep. Try and get at least 3-4 hrs of sleep before the ride.
I hadn't slept before the ride, fearing I wouldn't wake up in time for it
