He has more idea about places than you & I can think of.
Will try my best to join in. Might have to do some driving duty for the family on Sunday. Will keep you guys posted

I can still suggest some destinations though..

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Awww. Was hoping to meet you and bigOne. Nevertheless, hope to meet you soon.

Please do suggest some destinations. I am sick of riding to Nandi hills, Mysore and Krishnagiri.

Finally the weekend is almost here and for a change the sun is out.

Of course there is a ride on Sunday morning. Nothing decided on the destination as of now. We are waiting for some inputs from Rossiter on some interesting destinations.

@Tibby - are you in for sunday morning?

I assume that TijoJoy and yourself (Hardhit.d) are confirming for the Sunday morning ride. Will check with Ark if he is in.

I will post the plan for the ride in some time. Keep an eye on this thread.

I should be able to make it, if doesn't suck up the entire day.

                  • Just got off the phone with Alok and Ark and both have confirmed themselves for the Sunday Morning Ride.

                    here are my suggestions.

                    1. We can go to Mekedatu and return. Its only 100 kms one way but its a single lane and speeds are limited to 100kmph.

                    2. Horsley Hills - 177 kms one way. We have to take the hoskote route. Roads are reported to be decent with speeds hovering around 100kmph.

Please pour in your thoughts on the above. Anymore suggestions are most welcome.

                    We can leave at 5am.

As of now confirmed riders are:

                    1. TijoJoy (P220?)

                    2. Tibby (R15)

                    3. Ark (Ninja)

                    4. Alok (Ninja)

                    5. n_aditya (Ninja)

what time do you want to get back?

Horsley hills is pretty long and if we ride to this place, we will return by late afternoon. Mekedatu is only a couple of hours away and we should be back latest by noon (considering we ride a lil further too).

                    Decide and let us know.

Anyone else coming? Nice to see a proper group of riders after so many weeks.

                    • I heard you have to leave the bikes and take a coracle to actually get to mekedaatu ... is it really that way ? coz then after a bad experience at chunchi falls that was 15km before mekedaatu , i'm a lil bit apprehensive ...

I went to Mekedatu twice in less than a week. Once with family by car (took the coracle across the river, short bus ride to the point where you actually have to climb down the cliff etc.) and once by bike but didnt go all the way till mekedatu or chunchi. Turned back 2 kms before chunchi falls.

I wont leave my bike unattended so i doubt if anyone else will. The plan is to ride to either mekedatu or horsley hills (i am more inclined to Horsley since the road is wider even though it is a single lane like the kanakapura road). Anyone wants to go all the way to mekedatu on the coracle ride, bus ride, trek etc. is welcome. I'm staying planted next to my bike.
