      • I had planned to ride on saturday morning to Horsley hills with Ark but didnt want to take chances with the road conditions, so we rode to Nandi hills (for the nth time ) and then to the Kamat hotel where we had breakfast.

We went a lil further on the highway and then it started raining so we turned back.

I went to Mekedatu and Shivanasamudram with my family on sunday (in a taxi with cousins) and the roads were decent and the landscapes were so inviting that I made a trip to mekedatu yesterday (yes, it was a holiday yesterday )

The ride was a short 200kms round trip and although the roads were just about right and a single lane, i enjoyed it immensely. I rode at around 100 kmph and occassionaly touched 120-130kmph on open straight stretches.

On the way back, school was out and kids were walking back and they were so excited to see a lone biker, all decked up in armor and riding pretty fast. Quite a few were thumbing me, indicating they wanted to hitch a ride. But i didnt oblige since its not very safe for a novice in the pillion seat and moreover i had my small bag of essentials strapped to the rear seat.

It rained or rather poured like hell in some parts and i got drenched badly but didnt stop and rode on. I had given my daily ride (fiero) for a service and had to collect it before the mechanic downed his shutters. Just near Kanakapura my left thigh cramped badly and i edged on until it was unbearable. Stopped by the side of the road for around 10 mins and called tibby. Wanted to know what I could do to make the pain go away. I was asked to drink water and eat some chocolates but no decent shops were in sight. I had already downed half a liter of water mixed with a generous amount on glucon-D so dehydration was not the issue. I had skipped lunch and the previous day's travel was hectic. I guess it was just fatigue.

Finally the pain eased off and i headed home via the NICE road. Didnt stop for water or choco's and fortunately no more cramps.

Thanks to Tibby for offering to help. He offered to come all the way from whitefield to wherever i was... A big thanks and i appreciate it a lot dude. (was a chance ride on the ninja the motivation? )

Couldnt take any snaps. I knew it would rain so i left my cam at home. Beautiful pics missed but i'll ride again on another day just for those snaps.

Edit - the bike handled really well on the slick rain soaked roads. love the ninja for its reliability, handling and everything else.

Dunno about west blore but there is a distributor on JC road. You get it at wholesale prices. Just cross the first signal on JC road (the signal after the multi-storey car park) and you will see a gully on the right a few meters after the signal. Go inside and there is a bullet spares shop. Next to that is the motul distributor.

Chance ride!! I was confident I would bag one
On a serious note, I'm glad you were fine after taking some rest.

Riding a bike on the highway, without company is serious business man. Take proper rest next time before going for one. I've had my share of unpleasant rides, owing to lack of rest.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Thanks again Tibby. It meant a lot and i'm lucky to count on you.

That said, you are the only other person apart from me and the service center guys who will ride my bike.... next time we meet, she's yours for a few kms while I am on the pillion seat. A humble way of saying thanks.

I'm lucky too man, xBhp has given me sooo many friends, whom I'd never had met otherwise. Thanks to Sunny yet again for xBhp, & to the moderators for keeping the forum & the spirit alive so well.

Yay! I won a free ride of the Mean Green Machine! See, even my grin turns green =>
I will humbly accept a ride of the bike, but I'm in no hurry. I hope its not a limited period offer.

Lets see if we can ride to somewhere this weekend.

BTW, a fellow member is riding to Jog Falls on Saturday, returning on Sunday. Let me know if you keen on it. Its 350Km one-way it seems. Too far for my liking though.

No expiry on the offer bro.

I'm game as usual for a ride but i'm available on Sunday. Got some things lined up for saturday and the bike is long overdue for a wash too.

Rossiter aka Akhil also said he is joining us this time so lets think of some nice place to ride to on sunday morning.

Would love to ride to Jog but overnighters are not possible as of now.

Awesome! Lets see where we can head to. In case Akhil is actually able to join, lets leave the destination to be decided by him.
He has more idea about places than you & I can think of.
