Anyone interested in a ride to Kolli Hills, Tamilnadu on 26 ? It is approx 300 km from Bangalore. Has 70 hairpin bends, would be awesome to ride there

Markonahalli dam

Calm, peace, cool breeze, fresh non-polluted air, no honking vehicles. For a person who stay in Bangalore or a similar city, its heaven. Markonahalli dam (lets call it as MD) is a perfect picnic place for a family or a group of friends.

Distance: 93 KMs from Bangalore

About the Place:How to get there:Food: Best option is to pack food from home. Or get it packed @ KSTDC hotel or Kunigal

Fuel: Lot of petrol bunks on the national highway

Hi i am not coming to join the ride but i would recommend to take another route since the road becomes worse in monsoon.

Yes i went for a ride on nh48 on 7 Sep till Hassan. The first 60 km stretch is not good especially for high speed but still OK.

Do tou have any pics of the road?? Till how much speed can we go on this road comfortably?? Is it a two lane road or a four lane road??

Sorry I do not have any pic of the road, construction work is going on to convert it to 4 lane so at many places it is 2 lane only. Triple digits should not be a good idea at the initial stretch of 60 kms same goes for afterwords as the road keeps changing between 2 and 4 lane.

hey ppl... the BB Anniversary ride is still on and finalised... just checked the posts here and got to know that meeting places haven't been posted here...

anyways here goes the list of meeting places :


FINAL MEETING PLACE IS THE big ground aside Embassy Public School building, Magadi Main Road which is after the Magadi-Nice road junction brfore .. TIME :AT OR BEFORE 6.30 am


There will be 4 teams.

Team A : From Marathalli STAPLES shop at or before 4.30 AM Lead: TJ(Myself)(Untill some one from Marathalli comesup to be the lead) - 9880288111

Team will be starting from Marathalli and riding through
Marathalli - Bellandur - Silkboard - BTM layout Jaideva Flyover - Bannergattha Road - Nice Road Junction and head to the final meeting point.

Team B : From PESIT at or before 5.45 AM. Lead: Pavan(Hotshot) - 9880628883

Team will be Starting from PESIT College and ride on Mysore road to reach Mysore Road-NICE road junction and can join Team-A


Team C : From Hebbal Yelahanka Bypass CCD at or before 5.00 AM. Lead: Andy(minusZer-0) - 9880802802

Team will start from Hebbal and ride through the ORR from Hebbal and reach Tumkur road and ride on Tumkur road to reach Tumkur road-NICE road Junction, and then head towards Magadi road-NICE road junction


Team D : From Old airpoart road Domlur Flyover at or before 5.00 AM. Lead : Vidya(Vidyadhar) - 9886440429

Team will start from Manipal Hospital, Old airport road and then ride through Mejestic and take teh old mysore road and reach Magadi road to join near Leprosy Hospital and ride through Prasanna-pramoda, Housing Board and then continue on the Maagdi road till the meeting Point.



you can refer to the above details and join the team whichever is appropriate for you... for more details/doubts about it, contact team leaders... be on time guys...

if any of you miss the group/team at the meeting point, speed in to the final meeting point of all bikers to a big ground aside Embassy Public School building, Magadi Main Road which is after the Magadi-Nice road junction brfore 6.30 AM...
