One day trips - Visiting Hogenekkal Falls - Team-BHP

Hoganekkal is just 130kms from Silk board circle, not 180 unless you take the long boring highway route

Bangalore to Hosur--> Just before climbing the Flyover in Hosur, there is a signal. At the signal , take a right turn and continue..

Hosur--> Denkanikottai -> Anchetty -> Hogenekkal Just 125 kms only..

Roads are good , ghat sections , some places roads are bad , at the end it goes along the river kaveri.

If its a speed ride on the Ninja , then head to Dharmapuri and then to hogenekkal.180 kms ,
ALso another route which is 150 kms..

Is that the way through the grape farms and all? i remember having been on this route but do not remember the names :P

@santoosh: Yes It's exactly 125kms. 5kms more for approximations and errors
The route is same as you mentioned. Though not butter smooth all the way, its a much more enjoyable ride to Hoganekkal.

And you need not travel all the way too. about 10kms before reaching Hoganekkal you'll have the river to your right. You can stop right there and enjoy the calmness rather than the touristy main falls.

I had went there few yrs back, when John used to ride with us. It would be pretty hot out there this time, and as mav1234 told the last stretch was horrible then.

But we must leave early to catch the early morning weather and sparse traffic. 5am types. We should target to be back by afternoon 2-3 types.
