The "right" way would be to pay the 'Life Time Road Tax' for the state of Karnataka. That is all you need to ride without a hitch!Originally posted by TheDazzler View PostHey guys, Finally got my bike here with me.... although without NOC... many people had various opinions can any one suggest a right full way for me to get my bike ready with all formalities... i am dying to explore B'lore.... please help guys...

If you can prove your date of entry into the state with either fuel slips/toll receipts/courier bill then you can ride your bike for atleast 12 months without paying the LTT as well. But some cops want money and will tell you that its 15day/1-2 months. Technically if you can prove your entry date then you have a year before you need to pay up the LTT!_________________________

my bike was sent through mover and packers and has reached b'lore toady. Technically i will get hold of it today or tomorrow morning. i would be provided with a receipts once i get my bike with me. so that mean i get a year before i pay LTRT
that good..

Claiming for reimbursement is a very long drawn process and most of the time by time you get it after feeding the agent the amount is very limited.
If you plan to sell the bike in BLR then you have to atleast pay the road tax._________________________

Got it i would not prefer to get a reimbursement from the other RTO as i would be doing interstate once in a whileOriginally posted by snapppy View PostWhat i meant by permanently is, If u are paying LTT here, u could then claim for reimbursement from the other state.

Selling is a not a option here my friend this is my first bike and it will stay with me till i die..Originally posted by Praful View PostClaiming for reimbursement is a very long drawn process and most of the time by time you get it after feeding the agent the amount is very limited.

^^ Just FYI. I ride a TN registered bike in KA for the last 3 years!
No road tax paid, No NOC! Not asking you to do the same, but it my choice to not pay for the our govt's laziness to not implement a unified taxation structure!
