Just saw a thread where this guy 'renjith4969' did an entire Delhi Bangalore Solo on his FZ. Now kahaan FZ aur kahaan tera SBK yaar... On a serious note... that bike is very capable... just needs fuel ... I'll make sure you're topped up beforehand so you ride bilkul tension free.

Since there is so much buzz on this thread after so long everyone has 'josh' to ride. Why don't you guys ride too Ooty/Madikeri for lunch and back.

Right... reading ^^^ those really fired me up again... especially to see that place all drenched in godly greenness of nature. I've personally done it a couple of times too... I keep doing the B'lore Coimbatore stretch often so I can pretty much vouch for the roads to be exhilarating in every sense of it. So again... as an option here's one more...

Being a popular place, this route has its pros in terms of closeness to Bangalore - Good height gain - Large tracts of twisties - has everything a ride should have for someone thinking of taking a long distance expedition and using the weekend rides as practice runs. Several road options too, will make it very interesting. Anyway... lemme know what everyone thinks... for here is another brilliant option for a ride... think we got enough choices right? Dates and distances have to be decided though, according to group consensus. So post up your opinions.... should work out something thats good for most everybody.

Guys I dont know if many of you know this place, this is just another suggestion.
Vanivilasa sagara/Maari kanive is a beautiful, recently my friend visited and posted this pic it was mouth watering.

The route takes u thru the beautiful NH-7 till Chitadurga and then a deviation to a mountaneous place full of wind mills, can be back in the evening after a good day's ride.

My suggestion for dates : 1st weekend of October as I all my weekends of September is booked.

Vanivilas sagar is a beautiful place to visit at the end of monsoon. U dont have to go till chitra durga. You can deviate just outside of hiriyur. There aren't much road signs to deviate. Local help is the best option.

I agree, its a beautiful place to visit. The roads are good too. Considerable amount of twisties. Nice flat stretches too.

Confirmed SBKs - 1 Yamaha R1, 3 Busas, 1 Yamaha FZ1, 1 Harley, 2 VFRs, 1 Duke RC8. Awaiting more SBKers to confirm participation.

i been to this place bro..this place is just sooper . In case we can end up going here, we can jam these places to visit: mari kanive dam (vani vilas sagar dam), chitradurga fort and jogimatti sanctuary. I still think though that this will be a bit too far for the second G2G ride cause we are thinking this one to be a short one as well (But many thanks to bring this up Suresh!..this is a wonderful place). I would leave it up to the others as well to vote

Yes me too agree, bit long for the 2nd ride. Arey yaar I am ready for kanyakumari se kashmir tak ka ride also but many things hold me back, against my will if possible try to keep it short. And 22nd sept well if all agree then I have no rights to play a spoil sport else weekend after that is fine.
