Am up for a tire change in another 4K km and know my touring pattern should be needing a new set by end of the year. AM looking for Michelin Pilot Road 3 120/70 ZR17 and 190/55 ZR17 or 190/60 ZR17 or 200/50 ZR17 for the busa.

2 month may be a long time but knowing my unorganized self and quick long rides covering 700- 1000k the BEAUTIFUL BLUE BIRD will become an BIG BAD ANGRY BIRD if i dont have a new set of rubber ready in advance.

Please help as my other post isnt getting any leads posting on the G2G thread.

@Divya saran, snethi peraria, chaosadditc - any leads as the tires am llooking for have 10k mile life compared to the 10k km on the curent pair.

My knowledge is very sparse on this but did you check with xTorque?, they source SBK tyres.

Yes did it in Jan when they had a shop next to my house in matsuri nagar they never got back for 3 months hence settled for sportsmax that are currently on my bike.. Will try them again and see.

Any other ships in Bangalore like x torque?

I have close to zero knowledge on this..m but the following stores are the ones that I know of that superbikers source their stuff from:

1. Xtorque
2. Let's Gear Up (not sure about Michelin but I do know they could source Metzeler or Pirelli for the Busa)

No. bro!! This was all I knew! Why don't you ask your biker mates? - they must have changed tyres at some point of time or maybe [MENTION=42511]neeleshray[/MENTION] can help.

thanks guys - both dont stock what i need the metzelrs, Perille and maxis are all soft compound not sutable for india roads that why they last only 5-6k KM in indian conditions.


1)Why don't you ask your biker mates?
They settle for what ever is there in the market at that point in time. am choosy as a set cost anywhere between 25-32K based on availability currency exchange rate etc. and I looking for hard compund so they come for at least 10k KM. my riding pattern is such that i cover a lot of KM in touring while others just weekend ride to near by destination and reliable tires are very important (no offence to other SBK'er here)

@neeleshray- Any clue on Michilin Pilot Road 3 availability in India

Very true, mate! I can relate to your explanation & it makes sense. How about sourcing it from outside Bangalore?, maybe KRP, PRS or DSG and what does Suzuki say? How about this - Tires & Lubes

Since you are looking for a specific breed, I guess it is worth the wait - Be patient and keep us posted. Meanwhile, I will post if I come across any info.

Yeah, its a lot of effort. Appreaciate you doing it \m/. But wouldnt it be better if you just take the best parts, put some music and make a small impressive video?

No time for editing dude. I put it for mass upload and go about doing my work it takes 1 to 2 days some times, also if you add music YouTube will detect and report it as copyright violation. The video doesn't get allowed to be hosted there.

Harish Bhai check Michelin store HSR layout, one of the bigger store with good stocks. I am out of Bangalore so can't go and check out myself. And sorry no contact no.
Store is on NIFT Road, same road which leads to LGU store.
Michelin store is on right side of the road.

Snehith what about the live travelogue.

Friends let's stick to short ride this time.
Anyway suggestions always welcome.
