Nice ride guys. Pics put up on FB. I'll upload them here too in sometime.
By the way, most of us think that we need to enforce a few rules next time onward so that riders are able to control their emotions, if you know what I mean!

Yes i agree with Divya. There should be some set of rules from next ride onwards. Strictly riding gears for each and every rider, and we should keep the stunts to minimum. If you do, do wear proper gear. We dont want a repeat of the incident which happened today.
P.S. This is just a suggestion from my side.I Ride to Forget the World, and Sometimes I Ride to Forget Who I AM.

Ohk so curious stunt man came in for ride, tried some of the tricks and got oopsied. Can picture out from pics who were not present group. Good you all restrained them from riding along and good to see people are now more concerned towards safety irrespective of few.
Hope everyone get each word properly and restrain themselves from any argument.

Oh come on guys! 4lac people die every year cause of road accidents, if you want a rule, the best would be dont own a bike, that is the safest! As long as people are riding with safety gears any form of biking should be appreciated.
Even on a normal tour, we have near misses, break traffic rules, sleep off while riding etc etc but why is it a big deal if a person falls while stunting? Have a open mind. Stunting is not bad, not than any other form of biking.Regardless, Life shall go on.

I really didn't want to comment on this situation, but hell your words just seem to have given me that extra push needed.Originally posted by yellowspunk View PostOh come on guys! 4lac people die every year cause of road accidents, if you want a rule, the best would be dont own a bike, that is the safest! Agreed 4 lakh or more people die every year on the road, sometimes even the most cautious and experienced but these statistics are not a reason to either be or not be on the road. They are just a reminder and rather an encouragement to be a little more cautious.
Any form of biking should be allowed? Close call over takes/wheeling on roads with moving vehicles is not permissible just cause you are wearing gear and FYI the person in reference wasn't wearing any ( and this is inspite an offer to lend some to which his said response was " is it necessary, oh no problem I have enough experience. I have ridden long rides."
Bravo!!! Pat on your back and on those with similar ideologies.
An open mind is something I guess everyone on the ride had, well atleast until they had enough!
Yes we all have near misses, we do break rules, there is noone out here who claims they are perfect. But what distinguishes near misses and careless mistakes is arrogance. BTW the sleeping that you seem to be referring to, let me make one thing clear, the rider didn't fall asleep, he rather had the presence of mind to let his fellow riders know that he was drowsy and then made a call to stop, perhaps preventing a trajedy to himself and the entire group and this my friend is responsible riding.
And nobody here is against stunting. They are against stunting while riding on the highway as a group, stunting on a road with other vehicles and about stunting without protective gear, period. You want to stunt please go ahead, find an empty stretch and go ahead pop wheelies or burn rubber, nobody here shall object.
And this is for everyone who joins the next time and has some kind of confusion or doubts as to a group ride:

Without rules , the figure will be definetly more thn 4lakh (unverified) and while I agree that safety gear adds a layer of safety to the rider, but we cannot use "safety gear" as an excuse to stunt on a public placeOriginally posted by yellowspunk View PostOh come on guys! 4lac people die every year cause of road accidents, if you want a rule, the best would be dont own a bike, that is the safest! . think about it, a person..riding on a bike, without a gear..ok..still acceptable. Now, a person, trying to stunt (mind it, trying to, he is not a professional..right?) in a road with vehicles around. Tell me, dont you think it is risky? Lets say this person had not fallen and he could have done the stunt perfectly. I would still say it is unsafe, my friend. Dont you think?
. There would then be no difference between us and the people with those rx100s wheeling on the roads right?
. See this is what i meant by my comment, i am sure @snehithpereria also meant it for a good cause, to be more cautious from our end and wear a protective gear. We all are pro-riders, not newbies so i dont see a space for saying "no to safety" (i learned that this person was offered gears for this ride but he said he doesnt need and he has enough riding exp). You tell me mate do you feel comfortable with this idea?

+1 to snehithpereira nd suvraganguly
If people are more into argument and less into having safe rides nd understanding the group rides then it's better stop group riding.
IT WOULD BE BETTER NO MORE GROUP RIDES ATLEAST NO MORE xBHP BANGALORE CHAPTER GROUP RIDES.

No! This was the exact reason why this thread died in 2009. People who feel that stunting (without knowing how to) without riding gear on a public place in front of cars may ride alone!Originally posted by saquib3005 View PostIT WOULD BE BETTER NO MORE GROUP RIDES ATLEAST NO MORE xBHP BANGALORE CHAPTER GROUP RIDES.
Group rides will continue. Let like minded riders roll together.

re: The Official Bangalore Offline Meet (G2G) Thread
Well I am also not in favour of stopping the rolling wheels and I am not even forcing others from stopping but again the similar incidents may curb the temperament of like minded people. Well never late than ever, but atleast refrain from such rides for sometime.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostNo! This was the exact reason why this thread died in 2009.
