PS: I think it should be put into the Tyres thread as there are members over there who can guide him over there and also there. . . It's just my opinion. . .

Hi recently I touched 30,000 kms on my Yamaha Fazer. My rear tyres has had ~8-9 puntures, so I had to convert it from a tubeless to a tube one. The tyre has really worn out and the tube gets punctured every now and then. So I wanted to buy a new tyre.


I am trying to find the stock MRF Tyre ( 140/60-17 ) but unable to find it any of the stores from last one and half month. Tried ordering online from ********* but even they didn't have the stock and gave my money back.


Any ideas why this is happening ? Anybody has any idea where all I should try ? Its frustrating to not use my bike from 1.5 months

bro,,, high time you change, good that you realized. And Bangalore is a big city with so many options, highly unlikely to run out of stock in each and every store and in every corner; where have you been searching, mate?? - Go to Kalasipalyan extension, JC road - park your bike/car, walk and ask in each and every tyre shoppe, Cherry agencies will most likely have it even though I am sure everyone else will have one or the other choice for FZ.... namely MRF revz & ContiGo.


One month, sigh!!!

I contacted 2-3 more even they are running out of stock now.
Same is the problem with R15 tyres also right now.
Stock MRF low stock everywhere.
If you dont mind you can check the same in PSD or Michelin.
They are also good, rather PSD is compound is also soft which you can take for tarmac and for curves and long rides easily.

PSD for FZ spec is a bit hard to find now because unlike earlier days the supply is low. If you get Dunlop Tuffgrip, you're a lucky guy - best option in aftermarket tyres for FZ. Keep ContiGo as the last of options as it is between hard & soft compound and hence the grip is not that impressive (using one).


It is still hard to believe the situation with MRF!!

Okay, Mr. Maruti lol , okay on a serious note, I did call couple of dealers too and then even made a call to the mrf distributor, apparently the mrf 140 70-18 is out of stock and will mostly not be available for another 2-3 weeks.

However considering your urgent need I would recommend you go get the continental conti go tubeless of same profile. Considering your current situation I guess this is your best bet, however you could also try seeking advice from other members in the tyres thread

Yes MRF is running short of stock tyres right now. Had similar problems in YRC also last week.

@Maruti Borker All the SVCs are running short of stocks right now for almost all the yamaha bikes.
I did contacted with Orion on the same.
And please for long lasting results no after markets please. You can go for PSD, check x-Torque or else Michelin-HSR Layout.

I agree the compound is bad compared to the others, the only reason I suggested it was because of his urgent situation, if he can manage the wait, I would definitely recommend he wait. Didn't recommend PSD because of price factor and I thought he might want to shift to MRF stock when available.
