Sorry bro, my bad. As answered already, its Hotel Mayura, Belur Cross. (Its not Belur BTW)
There are few places within 2 kms of one another on the same road which play hosts to these SBKs - CCD, Mayura and Adigas.

Ended up going to Bekal Fort today, beautiful place, really regretted selling my camera it's a little far but hope that we can organize a ride here, sometime.

Also ended up running into a fellow XBhpian from Mangalore, Nishanth (sorry I forgot to ask your user id)

Now Mr [MENTION=61921]SuvraGanguly[/MENTION] I thought there were other plans for this weekend

Ended up going to Bekal Fort today, beautiful place, really regretted selling my camera it's a little far but hope that we can organize a ride here, sometime.

Also ended up running into a fellow XBhpian from Mangalore, Nishanth (sorry I forgot to ask your user id)

Now Mr @SuvraGanguly I thought there were other plans for this weekend

Did he have a tri color CBR? If that's the case, did you meet "nisnth"?

Also, Bekal you talking about, is it the one near Mysore? If yes, lets have the next G2G at Bekal Fort, Mysore.
Round trip = 300 kms

If people are more into argument and less into having safe rides nd understanding the group rides then it's better stop group riding.

IT WOULD BE BETTER NO MORE GROUP RIDES ATLEAST NO MORE xBHP BANGALORE CHAPTER GROUP RIDES.

The following is not an argument and just my opinion.

I can imagine the importance of avoiding a public-semi organised forum like XBHP from any extremes (as a matter of fact) whether that is good or bad. Obviously we want XBHP to live forever and be the motivation for thousands of new and old bikers. And any incidents especially racing/stunting/drifting (which personally I would like to see a lot of) can pose a danger to our beloved forum. So strict NO from my side to racing/stunting/drifting with any XBHP groups.

But DO NOT stop the rides. That is like running away from the problem and hoping that it would have solved itself when we will come back. And as far as I can see the only problem is that such an incident happened in an XBHP ride, because obviously the people here are not concerned about street hooligans.

So from next time onwards we just have to ask people to promise that they will not engage in racing and stunting and in case of deviation from this the whole group can stand as a unit against the person concerned and ask him to ride separately, even if that is me or you or anyone. Also I would suggest one guy to be elected/chosen as the lead of a riding group every time because in cases of chaotic situations all sorts of suggestions come from everywhere but nothing materializes into action. Somebody has to take responsibility and say the bitter words at the face even if that is a SBK rider.

By the way I was a first hand observer of this incident and the following stands corrected:

1)The wheelie incident happened in a parking lot, not on the highway in a public place. From an outsiders perspective (if mine would be valid) the incident looked more like a failed controlled experiment rather than a runaway/out of control incident.

2)@snehit the sleeping incident yellowspunk was referring to was from ISG2G. The guy had actually slept while riding.

I am not liking at all so much negativity regarding the incident. This is just the kind of groups I would want to avoid.

There was only 5-6 people in the parking lot and a single car (swift dezire) was parked when the incident happened. However the seeds for that incident were sown atleast 2 hrs before the incident?? Every drop of adrenaline that pumped through the body of each of our members was responsible for that incident. With the morning air, the superbikes, the chiks and the breakfast people were way excited. So we started trying each others bike. The full group was there and I myself tried snehits joeled karizma the R15 etc etc. We were doing this small 50 m circle in the parking lot. Then the first group left (we were supposed to follow in 5 minutes) and some 5 6 people including Harrish, Fireblade, Harley and us were left.

Suddenly this guy tried the wheelie and pulled it with such ease that it didnt even look that this was his first time. And no special appreciation was given to this guy (just for clearing things up, we were involved in some discussion around the corner). Here was our biggest mistake. We should have discourage the guy right there and then. I didnt do it, I am sorry for that. Anyways the thing continue and in just 5 minutes we found his front wheel touching the skies (he believes the patch of plastic on the palm of his pro biker gloves caught the accelerator and bike went out of control). The guy did excellent by not panicking and trying to control the bike. He saved the collision with car and ultimately ended up falling.

Conclusion: Racing/Stunting/Drifting is amazing but Dont do it on XBHP rides.

No. I am in mlore, down here for a little while, riding down to Mumbai tomorrow morning and then will again get back here for a day before heading back to bangalore

Edit: Bekal should be around 800 round trip from blore (me tempted)

Well I am sorry, this was conveyed to me as a road incident, however my views of the incident dont change just because, instead of an open highway, the elected spot was a public parking, with actual people and actual vehicles

Well all other conversations were taking place wrt the same day and if he meant any other it should have been specific, guess just a lucky coincident. However yet again I take my quote as a citation for responsible riding and nothing else.

lets make that xBhp group rides and xBhp is not against Racing/Stunting/Drifting as long as they are done at the places where it is meant to be done(for those still confused: Tracks for racing, Empty/isloated site for stunting and with proper safety
