How about a ride to Kanva Reservoir or Mekedatu

Kanva Reservoir



Kanva Reservoir is an artificial lake and tourist attraction 69 kilometres (43 mi) from Bangalore, India and 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from Ramanagara. The reservoir has been formed from the damming of the river Kanva and is well known as a tourist destination for its birdlife. It is surrounded by wooded hills.

Mekedatu



Mekedatu (Kannada: ಮೇಕೆದಾಟು) is a location along Kaveri in Kanakapura Taluk.
The name comes from an incident which is believed to have been witnessed by herdsmen in that area a long time ago. It is said that a goat being chased by a tiger made a desperate attempt to save its life by leaping from one side of the gorge and managed to cross over the raging river below, whereas the tiger did not attempt to replicate this feat, and abandoned the chase. The point where the goat leapt has widened since then from erosion caused by the river Cauvery.
Total Kms as indicated in the group maps will be approx. (250) Kms.

Yelagiri hills is also another option. This weather is very good for hill ride. 350 Kms round trip.

Yeah mate. I called let's gear up today and they didn't had what I needed. They asked me to call them next week and check with them. Thanks for the other option. I shall checkout cramster store next saturday.

Here is the 6th xbhp Bangalore ride details and a bit longer one this time.

Ride date: 8th Dec(Sunday)
Ride destination: Horsley Hills, Andhra Pradhesh
Following are the routes:

Meeting Point B: Marathalli Bridge(4:40am)
Meeting Point C: Hoskote Toll Gate(5:05am)

Meeting point A: ITI Bus Stop(Near by ITI Gate), KRPuram(4:30am)
Meeting Point B: Hoskote toll gate4:55am)

Everyone will meet up and proceed together from Hoskote Toll Gate and start sharp at 5:10am
Start time: 5:10am


Mandatory things: All necessary Docs like DL, RC Card, Insurance papers and Emission Control Card.
Basic Riding gears including Helmet, Armoured Jacket, Gloves, Knee guards and Elbow Guards. Same applicable for pillions also.

A word of utmost caution/importance: Please be on time.
Also please Fill up the tank a day before, before going to sleep.
Those who have ridden with us earlier are strictly instructed to be in compete riding gears, else you will be asked to continue your own ride. People joining for the first time and are not having proper riding gear they are advised to have proper helmet, a thick jacket, proper denim jeans, shoes.
No rash riding will be inculcated and everyone has to follow the group riding etiquettes.
