No matter what time you reach there, you are not allowed to start your ride to the top until 6:00 am, then when u reach the top, you have to still park your bikes and beat the rush to get inside.
Is it worth it, Yes!!
Will it help if you reach earlier, No!!

Someone else can confirm on this; but when I went there last, I reached there around 3.50 am and the gate/check post guys at the foothill did not allow us an entry till 5.30~6 am - your beloved sunrise is already down the drain by the time. This was on a Sunday, 'dunno if this is only occasional.

Gates open only at 6 AM. You can still watch the sun rise from under the clouds (if you're lucky with favorable weather) if you're at the beginning of the line at the check post. That means reaching the check post around 5:30 ish.
Means an early start. Bhery diphicult, I say!!!

The point I am trying to make is that there is a bottleneck formation near the gate by the time it opens. Dunno 'bout others but the wait gets on my nerves especially after seeing hot legs and attractive racks, that make me go berserk. And of course the loud 'justin beiber type' music, smell of weed, posers and the superior bikes, all add to the misery. Then the line before start.

The intention is to gossip so let's take our time and go before the sun gets hot. Just a suggestion, take it or leave it!

I have been to Nandi Hills recently, and yes there is no advantage in starting early, we will miss the sunrise anyway. Plus I agree with [MENTION=48174]chaosaddict[/MENTION], the wait in line and the crowd at the start is very,very irritating. Add to that, the long line for tickets and the mad rush on sunday. Going there before the sun gets hot would be a better option.

Did you guys forget about thoses annoying monkeys at nandhi hills ....One of them triedto pull the busa key from my ignition.
I had stopped to take a quick pic the bike was ideling on the side stand...


I think it was aiming for worlds fastest monkey title....

I woke up this morning... got suited up wore my knee guards and sat on the bike to feel the extra cushioning of a flat rear tyre... Just yesterday I had gotten 3 punctures repaired but maybe a couple got left out... Anyway bottom line... couldn't join up guys... sorry for the let down... do post up the experiences and pics...

Pehle, sabhi ko sorry that I rushed back in a hurry. Room keys in the open basement/garage parking was always a risky affair. Anyways, I got it.
