Chikkaballapur would be too long, The dodbellapur route is scenic, there is valley on the way and a lake, while going in the morning, we can take that route as the sunrise is beautiful from there. I will send some pics of the route once I reach home in the evening. I have been to Hindupur 4 times via that route, and I used to go to that route often.
The road after Yelahanka is almost same as the one towards Lepakshi after the highway diversion.

I do not find much difference in either of the routes dude..i would still choose Map2 as because we can hit the flyover while returning and it would be faster. Also, while going to the sanctuary, we might go all the way till Tumkur and then take a right to take the SH-3. Please see in the map below:

I feel this route would be a bit less complex, but at the end of the day i am game with anything

Ok, then lets go via Tumkur then. I presume we'd reach the sanctuary faster. Shashank, we want sunrise pics near the sanctuary, hence Doddabalapur wala route will be for returning.

I doubt. At least for my pillion. Reason being, I don't want to risk it. Also, I have tube type tyres and there's an off-road patch in between.

KA gang members. Wake up!

A ride this Saturday. (Sorry, I'm not free on Sunday)

Destination - Jayamangali Blackbuck reserve (KA-AP border)
Distance (to n fro) - 220 km

BLR - Jayamangali - via Nelamangala - Tumkur route
Return - via Doddabalapur - airport road route

Meet time - 5 AM sharp at Nice road toll towards Nelamangala

Confirmed riders so far - me, @SuvraGanguly and @shashank ashwin

Please carry water and snacks with yourself as the area is an open stretch with no shops inside the reserve premises. Mostly 4 wheelers are allowed, but we'll bribe our way in!
P.P.S - Carry loose change along with cash for the unknown.

See you on Saturday!

udy bhai you have given a wrong location in the maps. there are actually two CCDs in bellandur. one next to Axis bank ATM and one below the Bellandur Central Flyover. Which one to choose. I think one next to Axis bank ATM has enough parking space for parking the bikes where as next to the Bellandur central Flyover doesn't have space for parking and also not enough place to sit and chat.
