    I guess we would take 2-2.5 hours to click pics. Moreover, it would start getting hot post noon. We would target leaving by 12 or 12:30 PM max. But, return would take some time as Doddabalapur has some scenic landscapes to click too. (return)

      Guys, the roads leading upto Madhugiri are narrow and not in the best of shape. Give yourselves 3.0 - 3.5 hrs to reach Madhugiri. Jayamangali is a further 18-20 kms from Madhugiri and guess the roads will not be any better. Add another 30-45 mins to reach the sanctuary.

      It is also important to reach places of wildlife as early as you can in the morning when the birds and animals are most active. The chances of capturing some good pictures is high if you are early. Have a nice ride guys and hope to join you folks for a ride in the near future. I will be out of Bangalore this week end, else would have loved to accompany you guys along with our Busa man HK.

        thank you for your input. do you think starting at 5am from NICE road toll is enough or should we leave earlier than that? lets say 4-4:30am ish..

          Leaving early is always wise. 4.00 - 4.30 am should be a good time to start. But getting everyone at one place at one time is tough . I usually start my long rides very early at around 4 - 4.30 am.

          You can reach Tumkur very quickly via NICE road. From there onwards, the speed drops as the roads get narrow and are single lane. Starting early also helps to avoid the bus traffic (though not much along this route) as they occupy the entire road and the drivers are not very rider friendly. Look forward to seeing the pics you folks will post!

            I think the plan should be to leave by 4:30 from NICE. Going by internet descriptions, the roads are horrible after Kortegere. So to spot some animals, need to be there early morning.

                            Timing is not a problem at all for me.I am fine with any start time. I'll meet @SuvraGanguly in Bannerghatta shell petrol bunk and will start from there till NICE road junction. Will keep you guys updated in the whatsapp group.
