A Ride this week end...

Hi People,

We are planning a trip to Skanda Giri this weekend.
We will be riding to the place by 12 in the night(Friday night) and trek the hill and reach the Top by 4 in the Morning to see the Sunrise(As they say that its a beautifil place to see the Sunrise/ Sunset)

We are planning to reach bangalore back by 11am on Saturday

Any one intresting in joining us... please do let me know....

Have u done this before???
I was not able to scale the peak during day time only. OVERWEIGHT .
What all would we have to bring?
Will we get a GUIDE there at that time of the night???

Small suggestion : Its clouded anyway these days and chances of seeing sunrise are very minimal( like today's eclipse). Why dont we do nandi hills???

Yes i have done it earlier... and s we get the guides at night...
As i we will have the offs on the week ends we are doing it in teh night so that we can do a night out as well....
The hill is not too far from Nandi hills if i am not wrong it must be just 8-10kms from Nandi hills....
We have to carry some Food, Water(2Lts- as there is no drinking water source on the top of the hill) and a Tourch.....
We are going in a group of 5 people so we can always share the Weight i think...
But belive me it will be a grt trip... Coz when u r in Bangalore its really hard to see mist and the clouds flowing by u... and my experience... i have done it and experienced it in my last trip to this place....
So let us know if u guys want to join... If will be very nice to ride with Xbhpieans.....i am waiting for it guys...

I'd be more than happy to come off with you guys, I just finished this ride this month twice on Saturday mornings however the ascend was at 4.30 AM since I finish my office then. If you guys can put up the ride on 12 AM Saturday night I can come up with you guys, coz the only thing I missed is the sunrise. I'll be working still on Friday nights.
