The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

                4. Full Length pants - Mandatory - jeans or cargo's or any pants made from thick durable material.

                5. Knee guards - recommended.

Please also carry your vehicle documents and other necessary papers like insurance, Emission control certificate, Drivers license (mandatory) etc.

THE ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF GROUP RIDING IS EFFICIENCY.

                1. KEEP YOUR SPEED STEADY WHEN YOU ASSUME THE FRONT POSITION.

                2. If the speed of the paceline (group speed) needs to be increased, wait until you have been pulling on front for several strokes, and then SLOWLY increase the speed. A gradual increase in speed will avoid gaps and help keep you (and everyone behind you) fresh.

                3. when stationary, start off from the group one by one..the group should not start off all at once. every rider should have a marked position in the group and he should stick to that

                4. If you have special needs or concerns be sure to tell the leader of your group. Lesser experienced riders should be at the FRONT of the group behind the group leader, NOT at the BACK

                5. When overtaking slow moving traffic on a highway, make sure every rider does it one by one. Let the rider in front of you, overtake the slow moving traffic and reach to a safe position along with the lead of the group. Once his move is completed, the rider behind him can over take the traffic and so on. After passing the car, keep going. You must make room for all the bikes behind you.

                6. when in group move in a staggered formation in the left most lane. [STAGGERED.JPG]

                7. when changing lanes, the staggered formation should be changed into a single line formation. the front changes lane and then rider behind him follows.

                8. When stopping as a group at an intersection, break stagger formation and pull up beside the bike in the adjacent lane. This will reduce the length of the group by half. Stay in this formation until you are through the intersection. Because the group is half as long it will take half the time to clear the intersection and increase the odds of keeping the group intact. If you don't make it through the intersection with the group, don't worry. Don't take a chance and run a red light. The leader will know that you are not with the group and will slow down, or wait for you down the road. [INTERSECTION.JPG]

guys whoever parks next to n_aditya, make sure you leave a metre to the left and right..gotta give him space to oggle at his bike..right!!

                9. Parking in an orderly method substantially reduces the time for all to get off the road and out of traffic. There is risk of injury for the last bikes that may be blocking the road in an attempt to stay with the group.
A good way to park, if there is room, is for each bike to pull ahead of the intended parking place and then back up into your spot. You can see how this is done on the image to the right. This can be done very fast because you don't have to wait for the bike ahead of you to finish the job. [GROUP PARKING.JPG]

                10. When a rider leaves the group while in staggered formation, the best way to compensate for the hole made my his absence is for each rider behind the missing bike to change lanes. Doing this eliminates passing in a single lane.

                11. If anything has to be communicated which warrants a stop of the group, the rider in question should communicate to the one in front of him and so on till the group leader signals for the stoppage.

MAKE SURE YOU GO THROUGH THE THUMBNAILS TO GET A BETTER PICTURE

Increase your speed & watch the fun, when someone falls from a Motorcycle, unfortunately he can't choose which way to fall best & hurt himself less.

Well, it's pretty straightforward from where you stay. You just have to access the Inner/Intermediate Ring Road from where you live, follow it, do not go left or right at any of the traffic signals, go straight, and after approximately 8-9kms(not sure of the exact distance) you will arrive at a T-junction, that's Madivala, take a left from there and you will see Total Mall on the left just before the E-City elevated highway.
Just keep track of the signals, you will have to cross 4 traffic signals before you reach the final T-junction traffic signal.

                          • Just an update, pillions & friends on other bikes are most welcome. Just ensure they too adhere to the gears posted above in post #2932 (helmet, full pants etc).

Also a reminder that this will not be a speed (testing) run. No racing. No stunting. No alcohol. No fooling around on the bike(s).

We are riding together as a group to enjoy the ride, discuss about bikes & anything else, get to know each other , enjoy each others' company, and to have breakfast.

Looking forward to meeting & riding with each of you guys.
