nice to be back after a break....by the way..has anyone been on the bang-pune stretch lately? the last time I was there the patch between haveri and Chitradurga was a mess. Will be asking the pune guys also

I believe that stretch has remained consistently horrible for the past few years... I did ride down from pune to blr some months ago... Surface is more or less ok... But yes, one lane will typically be closed. By the way... I'll be riding down to pune again at the end of the month... In case anyone else is going that way...

i did it 2 weeks ago. the road is a little un tarred at places. Now its a lazy cruise. The roads are do able and just fine.

Ride to Coorg with an overnight stay...

Since Nov 1st is a holiday on account of Karnataka Rajyotsava I reckon we ride to Coorg for an overnight stay during the last weekend of this month.

Plan is to leave on 30th Oct (Saturday). We should leave as early as possible (4am is what i am thinking of) so we reach Coorg before noon.

We can stay overnight at the homestay which i have in mind and return the next day (Oct 31st; Sunday) leisurely.

The homestay charges 3k per couple (1.5k per person) all inclusive of meals, breakfast etc.

To book the homestay i need confirmations. As of now the confirmed members are:

1. Harshit.d

2. microsoft guy

3. n_aditya

Tentative as per my conversations are :

1. Alok

2. Ark (Reggie)

Please let me know if these dates are OK. I need to book the rooms which means i will need the advance for the room tariff.

The place of stay is Gonikoppal (35 kms from Madikeri). Lush green paddy fields surround the homestay and its very peaceful and quiet. I had been here a month back and absolutely loved it.

Anymore people want to join us please confirm at the earliest. There are only 4 rooms available which can house max 3 people in each room.

Sounds great. Only problem is we on our smaller bikes will not be able to catch up with you.

Man, i wish I had a bigger bike. I could ride out of blore and return back the same day.

P.S. It'll be fun to ride with the R1. If we can match revv's then I'll pretend i'm riding an inline four. I'm a sucker for that sound.

I am most probably gonna come. Will leave myself on the tentative list for now, however. Will confirm in a couple of days.
