Planning Coorg

I am planning for a coorg trip on this friday , saturday and sunday .
I will be riding from chennai to bangalore tomorow after noon and will start to coorg on friday morning .
Can any one suggest a good budget home stay in and around coorg ?
Any suggestions/input for the trip/places to visit is appreciated .

On return journey i am planning to take coorg - sulthan bathery - Bandipur - Mysore (Just want to cover this stretch )

Well, to go to coorg, the shortest route would be :
Bangalore - Srirangapatna - Hunsur - Gonigoppa.

I cant guarantee whether the roads would be good as it was rather bumpy when i went in January.

The route you plan to take on your return is probably the longest but the most picaresque, as you'd be riding through a forest.
But the road is only open from 6 in the morning to 6 in the evening, so you must plan your journey according to this.

Nice! Aditya was suggesting we ride down to Nandi for today morning, after he realised he had to be back home by 9.30. Turned it down as we had been on a ride to Nandi just a couple of weeks ago. I love the slimb uphill, but it can get repetitive & boring doing it every few weeks.
Anyways, you seem to be extracting every penny outta your rain gear!

And today I used both the fogtech(inside) and raincoat(outside) dressing on my helmet visor - I was easily riding at 120 since I could see very clearly. They are worth it.
