Sounds good. We should be able to catch up at Vijayanagar and head off to the meeting point at decent speed and then rip once we are done in the intro and checklist Would like to know how long it will take for the whole trip, 'coz I won't be able to reveal where I'm headed so early in the morning, at home My bike has just finished the run in. Odo reading 1.2k+ What are the safe speeds which I can make on this trip and what will the average speed be?

Too many questions? You bet! New to long distance riding and want to be prepared. Going through the Tristate meet did help to a certain extent

Vijaynagar is on the other side of town for me and in the opposite direction dude.

I guess we should be back by noon, latest. Safe speeds is relative... I can't say how fast is safe for you. That's for you to decide. Never ride close to the limits of your control and to the limits of the bike. We will be riding relatively slow and within limits wherever vehicle density is moderate to high. Unless there are open roads with a clear view, I wouldnt wring the throttle.

P.S. Since it's your first long ride, read up on group riding techniques and tips. It'll help you enjoy the ride and ensure your safety as well. Check tire pressure, fuel, fluid levels like engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, etc. Carry a bottle of drinking water as you can get dehydrated too. PM me your number if you want to meet enroute and ride to the meeting point together.

ROFL. Then its not gonna rain for sure. The weather forecast has never been accurate at least in these parts.

I'm gonna fix the hugger on saturday so IF it rains, it'll be the perfect opportunity to test the bugger.

                    • Why dont we leave a little earlier say 3:30 - 4a.m, so tht we can escape the heat. The heat is a real killer these days.

If you are coming for sure, then we can think of leavin earlier. But lets not make it too early as Krishnagiri is not very far and breakfast wont be ready until 7.30am.

IIRC, the A2B where we stopped by last weekned, begins serving yummy breakfast at 7am

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.
