Saturday is not possible for me bro.Since yesterday was a bandh, we are working on saturday.

I'm IN for a Sunday Morning Ride though but want to be back by noon. Do let me know when something is confirmed.

Yeah and KA govt. was supporting it... irony is that our own govt. charges the highest tax in the entire country on fuel. And the CM said it's been a practice so its not going to be reduced.. moreover the revenue earned is so high they dont want to lose it. So much for breaking the habit and carrying on something just because someone earlier did so.

Wow..missing a lot of rides after the tristate as I am sporting an Sprain in the lower back. Hopefully should be fine for this Sunday's ride...

DD hills is abt 80 kms one way from blore. but the roads till nelamangala are in a horrible state right now, not sure if u guys would enjoy the ride. plan for something else bro...

AFAIK, the only good roads are the ones that lead to Mysore and Chennai.

OMR (Old Madras Road) and Tumkur Road are horrible as far as i have read on this thread. The road to hyderabad is awesome (post devanahalli) but no coffee shops or resto's on that stretch past the airport.

There is a kamat on NH7, after chikkaballapur, comes around 80-90 KM's one-way.

DD hills is devarayana durga hills , in tumkur i guess , not sure of the distance

That route in no place for a full faired bike . Atul ( samyaza ) rides a r15 he became a trekker/photographer for the day

Hello everyone...
Four of our Hyderabad XBHPians are planning for a ride from Hyderabad to Bangalore and Ooty via Mysore Bandipur.
Request you to pour in your suggestions on the current climate/route and some affordable places to stay...

Also we have not yet finalized our tour plan.. regarding how many days to stay at each of the place...Suggestions on this part would also be very very helpful as we are riding in this route for the first time...

Tentative start date from Hyderabad is 14th July.

Hey guys sorry I could not join the ride last weekend coz 2nd service was pending for my bike. I am up for Saturday as well as Sunday, plan some good long trip like 350 last weekend. I would love to join in for the ride. I would love to go for a full day trip like hogenakkal.

We can pit-stop here and proceed a lil further if required.

We can carve some corners at Nandi before we head to the intended location (kamat).

I reckon we should leave as early as possible... meet at 4.30am and head to Nandi by 4.45am, spend a lil time there and then ride to Kamat. This is the best time for Nandi. Any later and it gets noisy with stupid people blasting music in their cars and bikers doing wheelies etc to attract attention.

@kiran_borra : the roads from mysore to bangalore are good ... if you are taking the road at night , some parts may not have the best lighting ... otherwise it's in good shape , as for the climate , cold with short spells of rain is the current situation ... for places to stay , i guess the more experienced guys got to throw light on it ...

Meeting Place - opposite Esteem Mall (just past the hebbal flyover, on the road that leads to the international airport road).

Meeting Time - 4.30 am IST.

Confirmed Riders :

1. nand15 - FZ.

2. Tulinisarg - R15.

3. n_aditya - Ninja 250R.

We will leave from the meeting point latest by 5.00 am IST. Please come on time.

Mandatory requirements - Riding jackets (leather or thick jackets in absence of riding jacket), full trousers like jeans or cargo's, Helmet (for self and pillion if any), vehicle documents, drivers license, etc.

Recommended - Knee guards, etc.
