  • @Aditya: Nice trip that man! You guys covered some distance this time. Nice pics too
Nice to see a thumper for the first time in a B'lore g2g (my experience). Who rides the Classic 500?

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Well we couldnt get a table at the entrance where the bikes were parked. So we moved the bikes to the back and got a table in the rear section of the resto so we could keep an eye on the bikes. Then the bullet gang rode in and conveniently parked next to our bikes.

P.S. "Self service today" board was still around.

          • Waited the whole evening for someone to upload the pics. The ride was AWESOME!! Since this is my first long ride, here is my mini trip log(might
            slightly extend)

Left home at 4.30 and as I reached Forum, found an R15 rider asking for directions. Came to know that it was Uday and even he was looking out for the right route to the meeting point. Reached there together at 5.00AM and in 2 minutes Aditya and Nand come in. If it wasn't for the low light, my eyes would have popped out when I saw the green monster Waited for some more time before everyone grouped. Eric and Nisarg joined in at A2B. Quick session on group riding and we are off.

From the word go, there was so much to learn for me in group riding. My concentration level was its peak and all I was seeing were the bikes ahead,
any signals they gave, RVMs, the road and the lookout for dogs. The speeds start to increase slowly and being a first timer to anything above 75 for more than a minute was something. However, I was confident of the group and my bike and started maintaining 80+ for most stretches.

The best part was when people in bus stops were gawking at our group. I had a grin plastered to my face in those stretches The first thing they hear and see is the green Ninja and the last bike is again a Ninja, albeit a black one. Even I would be gawking. LOL!

Didn't realise that we covered so much distance so quickly. I was slowing down in few stretches since I didn't want to strain my bike and also there was traffic. Reggie was of great support guiding me and understanding the situation. Close to 2kms to A2B and my back started to hurt and I really wanted to stop for 10 mins. Reggie thought I had gone ahead of A2B and went searching for me. He clipped 50kms in 10 mins!! Imagine the speed for a bike which has not completely come out of the run-in

Breakfast, tire pressure check, pee break, riding gear check and we were off again! This time it was even more harder for me to keep up because of the increased traffic, the sun beating down on me and the shoulder pain which started to seer quickly. Also, for a newbie, it is hard to keep up with bikes which are so darn powerful! Decided to head back and met Nand on the way.

Both of us rode back at saner speeds around 70kmph. Stopping at a HP petrol bunk and rehydrating ourselves had a cooling effect and also side effect for me We parted ways at Forum and only then did I realise that I downed 1 litre of water and Benguluru can be very unforgiving when you want Nirmala Bengaluru the most! The half hour search after asking few shops felt like 2 hours in Wilson Garden. Finally relieved, headed back home and reached at sharp 1pm. Tired, sweaty and grimy, but the ride was totally worth it.

Special mention goes to aditya for starting the thread and keeping the interest alive. Also, you are a great group leader! I owe you a breakfast Reggie, for bearing my speeds when there is a tendency to surge ahead with an awesome bike like yours. You are a great sweeper too! Eric, a great member and supportive guy. Most of my confidence was just because there you were behind me Would love to ride with you again. Nand, to show good city riding skills and again great riding in playing catch-up with the monsters!! Everyone should check out his ride. Doesn't look a day older from the time it was rolled out from the showroom though it's a year old! Even the mono-suspension gleams!!

One small request to Eric and Aditya. Can you please zip/rar the pics and upload it somewhere like Mediafire? Hope others can join in and have a bigger group when we ride.

well , thats what made the ride so amazing ... being the lowest powered vehicle there and to somehow manage to stay in touch with the big guys . and hey the bike being what it is , that is due to a slow social life and being jobless in the evenings

EDIT: forgot to mention , the timing with me an aditya was actually a co-incidence , I was just slowin down near total mall to figure out where the meeting point was , and I see a green ninja zoom by , so i just followed him in

                  • Ride on 10-Jul

@Avin: Nice stuff there This was a couple of Sundays ago na?
EDIT: Loved the last 2 pics

@All: How about an early morning ride on 10-Jul? We can head out by the usual 5am, and have breakfast enroute to the destination (to be decided).
Lets plan for something in the region of 80-100km each way, so that we can be back latest by noon.
Please feel free to pour in your suggestions.
