Regarding the brakes, the absence of a disc is surely felt. The braking distance is long and doesn't inspire confidence.

Congrats for your new bike dhilip n dan. The bike looks very good in flesh. The quality seems to be too good. The exhaust note is smooth and its different from fz. The only minus is tvs tyres which came stock fitment for my bike too. Good for nothing. Simply Skids even at low speed braking. Except that the bike is great VFM.
They may bring the disc brake option later..
Ride safe

Thumbs down Got SZ-X 2 months back

I have purchased SZ-x in october month. After initial analysis of many bikes in 150 cc segment .I chose this bike.Riding comfort awesome ,good power but less power compare to FZ.only concern is battery and gear shifting from first to second not as in hero honda bike.I got starting problem in my bike some day ago and report to yamaha service center in pune .they recommended for battery changing. So the battery was replaced by minda vendor .Now it is fine. But battery is weak compare to FZ .Also front head light is not good specially in night .After first servicing mileage getting around 40 kmpl as recommended by yamaha is 55 kmpl same as FZ .

Booked SZ R from Yamaha Factory outlet in Malad, Mumbai yesterday. Color black! I am expected to get that bike in a months time.

Saw FZ1 also in showroom in white color, the naked FZ1 looks awesome!

I will be getting delivery of my bike next month, saw some differences. Tyres are thick, handle bar is similar to that of FZ, cosmetic changes are good.

I was 23rd to book that bike from that factory outlet! They got first batch of 15 bikes the day I booked my bike.

They started delivering the bikes from today on the holy occasion of Makar Sakarnti!

Happy Makarsakranti to all!

I got my SZ R on 4th Feb from Yamaha Factory Outlet Malad Mumbai! Its really good, the seat is very wide. Engine is smooth. Looks are pretty awesome!

Had to take my bike to service center though, due to some minor issues will be getting it on Monday.

Issues that I saw:

- Front disc breaks were a bit loose.
- Handle Lock not working.
- Speedometer cable loose.

I think these are very minor issues. (Senior members pls correct me if I am wrong). I was a bit worried about these issues, but they seems to very cosmetic ones.

Rest is pretty good, gears smooth, suspension is smooth, engine firing is also unique.

Happy with overall package offered by Yamaha. Mileage yet to calculate.

Seniors please advice if the problems faced by me can they be considered serious?
