OK... that look outdated.. (personal choice)..

Keep both bikes in front of you & then decide... also unicorn is around 149kg & SZR is only 138kg.

          • Not to disrespect to any one.....Unicorn itself a milestone for a HMSI / India as well it can serve generation to come,

But now it's status is same as Splender which is another mile stone/legend of it's own. Unicorn = Modern age splender = Uncle's Bike.

Among all commuter series 150 cc currently sold, SZ-R's looks is best....it is fresh looking/eye pleasing/stylist and it turns my head too.

The best one is Red combo if highly maintained (polish), else white one.

            --------------

Please note I don't own any one of these machine and I'm Uncle too. (if this helps)

Its very imp., as it will have tiny metal pieces lodged in it from the new engine, anyways I suggest you get in touch with the SVC and ask why they did not change the oil filter as recommended by the service booklet??

Note: I have always changed oil filter at alternate service so that my engine oil can flow easily through the filter. An sz oil filter should cost you about 30 to 40rs.
No, it is not first service, I just changed my bike's engine oil only as many of owner here suggested me to change the same...

I will consume my first service once my bike completes 1000kms or 30 days...

My SZ-r is only 15 days old, I filled up the petrol of 500rs which was 7.30 ltrs ( Delhi)

My bike runs only 250kms(upto Reserve) .. which means only 35 per liters...i never crossed my bike above 4000rpm but still so how less mileage will wait for first service.

So, latest update on fuel economy, I filled up petrol again of rupees 500 (7.30 ltrs Delhi), at 250 km.

Now today I got reserved (18.10.12) on 580km which means my bikes runs 330 km in 7.30 ltrs (from reserved to reserved method)

Now, mileage comes to 45.20 kmpl (330 / 7.30 ltrs) {correct me if i am wrong) - TOTALLY IMPRESSED

Till today, my bikes runs only 582 km and i never crossed 4000 rpm till now.

                All single driven with pillion.

(can now i ride will pillion ride... please suggest me.. my wife is just angry with me due to this problem)

                • ^^^^ If the roads is empty, meaning your bike don't need to rev much to move forward during that journey you can take her as pillion.

                  Before Run-in period :-

Your weight + Pillion weight = New Engine doing much to keep peace with traffic flow.

Your Weight = New Engine doing not much (less than above scenario) to keep peace with trafic flow.

But in Empty stretch / Field where you don't need to maintain a certain speed to keep moving (stop & go), it is ok to ride with pillion.

This is the logic behind it.

I myself allow pillion in my C250R after crossing 2k km.

yep, there is not so much empty road here in delhi, i think we can wait till 1000 kms is over.. no need to take risk....

It looks outdated on website....but physically it looks lot better...thats my opinion. Weight is never concern for me...being driving bullet @ 170 Kgs from many years.

I am looking at P135 LS too now its now SZR vs Uni Vs P135,Dont want to make this ownership thread a "what bike" thread so... stopping here only.

Hey, is it specified in manual that for first 1000 KMs it has to be driven solo ?? I dont think so...correct me If I am wrong.

There is seperate school of thought that says that, drive bike in initial 1000 KMs the way it would be driven during its lifetime.

No there is nothing explanation related to solo rider on manual, but every one here or outsider said that ride single before first service..

CAN ANY ONE SUGGEST ME THE TUBELESS TYRE OF BOTH TYRE.. DAMN .. I WANT ANSWER NOW

LOL! You know I have been pi$$ed off similar way you are now, people are simply careless and (purposely) ignorant about this thread and about this bike without knowing its potential, I dont even know why this thread stands here!

As far as Tubeless tyres goes, check out for MRF showroom if they have anything with them, I am sure they would have something in their kitty, secondly you can even try with TVS tyres to check if they have tubeless tyres of our bikes tyre size.

Went for a ride yesterday round-trip 347 kms, bike as usual flawless! Cruised between 70-100 kmph on highway. Crashguard lost its one nut LOL, it was anyway loosened after a minor fall the other day. Tacho bulb gone, only speedo lits up, will get the bulb replaced from service center at 9th service.

                            Cheers!

Bro,almost all threads face same fate !! Most happening threads are of GS150r, P200NS, Karizma etc.... bikes that we see least on roads . You would be surprised to see thread of Bajaj Discover.... it is just simply dead. Wonder is, every second bike is discover on road.
