Re: Yamaha SZ-X / SZ-R
Just finished my last free service few days back and the clutch spring breaks now.
The image above shows the dismantled gearbox on right side of the engine.
Had to get it to service center, the Bangalore wheels rajajinagar has relocated to a nearby place.
The new service center is really huge, you get to sip free coffee while reading xbhp magazine when they are servicing the bike.
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using Tapatalk 2There are no short-cuts to any place worth going. So ride safe when you are treading uncharted roads.

Yamaha SZ, bike not generating enough power and speed
Hi,
I own a Yamaha SZ, 150cc bike. I have had this issue right from the day i purchased this bike which was 21st Jan 2012. Issue is no matter how much i push on the throttle my bike does not take speed just the engine roar increases, its not even able to take load as in with a pillion rider even on a small incline i have to put my bike to second or first gear which is embarrassing. I have mentioned this issue in all of my 3 servicing but it still exists. Please help me understand what can be wrong. I am at a dead end with this problem and losing my patience. I wish to take my bike on long road trips but this issue is not giving me any confidence to do so.
Looking to get some help here.

Thread Approved and Merged
Please try to take a Test ride of a Demo SZ from the Yamaha Showroom and then compare exactly what the issue is. IMO I feel that your issue is giving symptoms of a worn out clutch. What FE do you get? I have merged this to the ownership thread so fellow owners can help you out better.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Though I am not technical mechanic but i preferred to do the following
- first check your fuel economy.....
- Then check any black smoke from silencer.
Also I always share these problem with local mechanics (3 or 4 number) to clear my doubts or at least get the clear picture (don't allowed them to open your bike, as it may VOID your warranty)
IF your existing service center are not listening your problem you can cross checked with another authorized centre too..
What this will do - these procedure will give you clear picture what exactly problem your bike is in now.

Good news to SZX/SZR users.
This is from RaceConcepts FB page:
Time to tweek your Yamaha SZR with our bigbore kit, camshaft and other upgrades. Yes the SZR is nothing but your good old FZ-16/FZS/Fazer in different clothes. The bigbore offers a 10-15% increase in fuel efficiency along with improved power delivery. Our bikes can go from 0 - Stupid in less than "I wonder if this will be a good idea"

I knew this would happen one day. SZ-R arguably one of the most underrated entry level 150 CC bike, people tend to mistakenly compare it with Discover 150 but it is as good as Unicorn, CBZ-Extreme, Hunk. And this news from Raceconcepts proves it.Originally posted by ariendj View PostGood news to SZX/SZR users.

Help Please
Hello All,
Can anyone of you please help with the below query that i have:
I love these turn indicators which are on FZ and SZR. I have a Suzuki GS150 and want these turn indicators in the front ONLY. I have checked FZ indicators and they are press fit but not the bolt nut fit type. Can you please let me know if the turn indicators in SZR are press fit or Bolt/Nut type.
Thank You
Please do reply.
