S%#t! He's turning right!!!

Never get caught between a car and an exit. The car ahead seems to be headed straight. Don't overtake if the vehicle ahead will be in a position to turn into your path as it heads for an available exit.

Just realised simple dentist tools are ideal for our finned carbs that takes so much muck from the front wheel back spray. The worst, I found was dung... Yeah cow dung imagine, that stuff gets in the fins and it literally burns with smoke. There's no completely avoiding dung in India, no chance, so a healthy set of teeth for my bike is essential
Just making sure to be gentle with the fins.

Default ABS model now only available on order (Delhi/NCR)

    Hi all,
I had posted a while back - was looking to buy a CBR 250R ABS but had a bad pre-sales experience with one of the dealer in Delhi so was looking at some of the other dealers.. Had made a booking for ABS red about a month back by paying Rs. 5000 but the dealer said Honda has not been sending any ABS models lately..

As of now, the status for CBR 250R ABS is this (atleast in Delhi / Noida) - No dealer has an ABS model ready for delivery in any color. Also, at least two dealers have confirmed that all ABS models are now available only on 'order' - which means that you will have to pay significantly more amount than the Rs. 5000 booking amount (e.g. Rs. 50,000/-) as deposit to order one from dealer and it's non-refundable in the sense that you cannot go and say that you no longer want it and want to cancel it...

Is it a similar situation in other cities?? The non-ABS models are available almost immediately...

Been thinking on putting the deposit on the tricolor ABS soon - but am slightly skeptical reading about all the problems people have been facing here - especially the issue with shims related vibrations and engine rattle.. Is it really so much of problem or am I just being paranoid ??

i have cbr from starting lot and its just fine completed 1 year last month .
the only problem i found was enging rattle sometimes but will get it checked on next service .
if there is any problem in bike then you don't need to worry about it you will get it changed under wrranty.

Thanks for the feedback Rahul.. I too have heard that quality has improved since tri-color, but still see a few shim related issues being reported even on newer bikes in this thread and hence the confusion..

And as for getting things rectified under warranty - from what I read here, looks like taking the CBR to service station creates more problems and issues than solving it

By the way, since you are from Delhi, can you please share where did you buy your bike from and your feedback about where you get it serviced from and the quality of servic there ?

it could be your timing of going out. When I go to office from west delhi to Noida, there is hardly any day I don't see a CBR250 on the road. One is almost certain, the max i've seen is maybe 4-5
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

    Default Speedo repaired COSTLY JOB

    Hi guys,

I had written about my speedo issue.

A rat had chewed the cable right at the surface of the sensor so there was no possibility of an insulation tape jugaad and the sensor had to be replaced.

Very costly part -it cost me Rs 2950. And this for a part made in India. Sad.

Punjab Honda, Rajkot excused me the labour charges as I had already taken a big hit for no fault of mine. @#$%&* rat...

The speedo is okay again, thank God
