I didn't only mention that u need to ride slowly to extract out good mileage...but i had also mentioned abt the care of the bike...!! Regular servicing is a bliss to the bike....

Also, little bursts here and there dont affect the mileage much(coz i have seen my friend ripping bike many times, but still he used to get good/healthy mileage bcoz of the kind of maintainence he follows....)...!!

Agree with the top end part, but I thought the P200 lacked low end grunt because of a peaky engine, which is why people loved the classic-180 like acceleration at the higher rpms. I am also saying this because that's what I felt during the 600km trip I did in a friend's P200 recently. I might be wrong.

Regarding mileage, the bike consistently returned 38-40 kmpl.

Absolutely! I feel the P-200 has NO low end power when compared to my Classic 180!

Now -
1)Is Bajaj still sells pulsar 180 dts-i models?
I asked because bajaj dealer said it is not available some 2 months back.
2) what is the advantages and disadvantages of Pulsar 180 vs Pulsar 200 ?

I heard both give almost the same mileage.still many prefers p180 ?what is the reason? spare availability?or p200 -difficult to maintain?

first word from many mechanics is that- current lott of p200's are unreliable - get a p180 instead
I want some info regarding this.

also ,please mention the big differences in latest version of P180 and p200.
Thanks.
your answers
  1. yes they do sell the 180, its the most vfm bike in the power segment.
  2. 180 gives you a mileage that no 200 can beat. Lesser quality issues. Cheaper spares.

i believe 200 needs to be run-in very properly...coz its stats are are extremely perfect for nice rip or an occasional cruise at 110km/hr...technically it should be the second most fastes bike on Indian roads.

btw,
I own a 180ug3, in 2 years I have covered 38000 kms. I bought the bike for 70k(first in thane) with loan and all it came to 90k...plus the maintenance after accidents and stuff...the whole thing came to another 30k...in all i have already spent more than 1lac on my bike!...
After another 1700 on a k&N I am getting a staggering mileage of (last recorded) 54km/L.!

a guy who has rented our house in village got p200 black color.he is ripping it all the times. and claims a constant mileage of 40kmpl.

I dont think p200 spares are an issue though.bajaj can provide spares .and I am surrounded by 3 bajaj dealers out of which 2 are main dealers .

P180 is now rare.in the sense ki ,it is not really available here ex-stock. only p150 ,p200 and p220.

Considering Bajaj's inventory mess and bad version control, you are more likely to find P180s spares easily and in more areas than of P200.

So, take your pic based on what you plan to use the bike for.
Exactly.my p180 UG2 has false neutral problems.except that ,gave me a good 45-50kmpl mileage in city conditions.yes - used "speed" petrol only :S .

and yes ,I checked the bajaj website .it shows P180 still in production.
infact ,P180 is a direct contender for P200 model .wherever p200 is mentioned ,eager bikers(and mechanics) are there to mention p180 as a better and cheaper one.
