Earlier my bike shows 60 kph @ 4800 rpm in 5 gear and 65 @ 5400 rpm.This over revving problem is now solved by replacing rear sprocket size 44T by 42T.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View Post"Speedo"
Rev limiter @ 10,000 rpm (which drops it to below 5krpm instantly)
By the way, What is over revving problem? Has it something to do with some MODS you applied?
Regards,
Samarth.
now bike shows 65 @5000 rpm.my 180 comes with stock rear sprocket size 43T and last time i replaced with same size of sprockets.But recently my bike needs another new chain set and by mistake mechanic replaced the chain set by 180 dtsi ug3 44T.my bike done 74k kms
.There is no modification in my bike totally stock bike.

My GF
I ride pulsar 180 UIII bought dec 2006 and completed 30000 km last May. we were seperated by my company when they decided to send me to Dubai on an assignment. When we were together we enjoyed every moment bad (accidents) and good ( travelling on freeways). we had our share of our fights when she would react badly (thanks to bajaj gears) if I tried to throttle. Some of the best times were when we use to go for ride after midnight. at 40-50kph she is smooth like butter. wind passing by makes us feel in heaven I love her.
leaving romance. I never understood one thing about pulsar. some day it would be smooth and will start vibrating only after 95 and some day you touch 70 and it starts vibrating as if given electric shock.Last edited by Anupam Shrivastava; 03-04-2009, 05:28 PM.

BAJAJ PULSAR 180 Dtsi SPOKE WHEELS
hi all proud owners...
well i own a black pulsar 180 dtsi spoke wheels (MY FIRST BIKE). she is 80,000 kms and 4 years old and till date there has been no engine work performed on her. not that i do not ride at high speeds..infact i did my iron butt saddle sore with her when she crossed her 75,000 kms mark...saddle sore needs you to maintain a constant high speed at around 100kmph...believe me these days people come and ask me that their pulsar's are not performing good and only after 30,000 -35, 000 kms they need engine work....i feel it completely depends on who u take care of your bike....i m really proud of my machine...which still gives an avg of 50 + kmpl....now after 80,000 she has started consuming some oil...m planning a overhaul for her on 1,00,000 kms......i m really really satisfied with the machine, and i also believe that its the relation which keeps u and ur machine connected and on that only depends the performance of machine....drive safe people....

Dude u 100% sure na??!! so you got a ug3 sprocket for your v2, the chain fit directly right?? Coz i will do it the other way round. I will get a v2 sprocket for my bike...As i need a taller gearing ratio, for a better top-end..
@all:
GOt a 200 block piston. Fitting it to my 180ug3's head. Spoke to Venu sir, he said its a direct fit, let us hope that it is..will be doing the actual assembling tommorow!...hope to do the triple digits at atleast 7000rpm!!
