Dude u 100% sure na??!! so you got a ug3 sprocket for your v2, the chain fit directly right?? Coz i will do it the other way round. I will get a v2 sprocket for my bike...As i need a taller gearing ratio, for a better top-end..

Guys, the above quoted info is wrong. P180's Rear Sprocket has 43 teeth. Confirmed! BTW P150 is at 42 teeth...

            Hello all,
            I own a P180 DTSI bought in sept 2006 .
The bike was good and i had no complaints with it. But one unfortunate day, when i was away for business, 2007 saw bad bad rain at bangalore , and my bike was submerged in the water for more than 12 hours !
It was a sad day, anyway i came back a few days later to discover what had happened.
There was water everywhere, tank, lights, even inside engine.. and it was dirty muddy water.

Took the bike to a local mechanic, which was a mistake, after clearing the water, he cranked the engine alot of times, think it was still dirty inside.
Any way then i took the bike to bajaj, where it was eventually revived.

But it was never the same again, i must say, bangalore is a good place for bikes, alot of mechanics and workshops are there who know what they are doing.
Anyway , there was problem with carburetor with fuel leakage, was fixed after 3-4 visits to the service.... but the main difference was that the bike lost its performance.....

Now i am in kolkata, i am new here and so dunno if any proper mechanics exists. I am so disappointed with the bajaj guys here , it seems they have made my bike worse than it was before.
Even 150 cc bikes gives me trouble on the roads now . It is so bad that i just wanna either sell of the bike, or maybe get the engine rebored or something...
I read above in this thread about getting the bore/piston etc of a P200.
Is that possible ... i need to know.
            Thanks ...
            p.s. - i still love my bike

I've got Pulsar 180 dtsi v2.1 full black edition, had a severe gear problems for the first one year, later found a reliable bajaj mechanic, who personally serviced my bike and sorted out all problem...now the bike's running fine in stock condition with ngk iridium spark plugs.Planning to get rid of cat-con and running it with 115 jet(currently the bikes running with 112.5 jet(correct me if i'm wrong))/'ll go for the 200's kit !

                          My question ?

What about 200's oil cooler for my 180 to cut down the engine heat ?Anybody here done that ?

I don't think that will be possible mate. Too many changes to the engine casing.
Maybe you can use fully synthetic oil. Its thicker than normal oil and will run cooler. Although the engine might not rev that freely to high revs till really hot and gear shifting is slightly harder !!

I think all pulsars come with split grab rails now a days !! And here in Bangalore I've seen lots of pulsars with split seats. It shud not be a very difficult job to pull off !!
If you see, the rear fender in the bike in pic also is different !
