    I always remove my RIM tapes by first applying some mild warm water over all the surface of RIM. Then, as it gets very wet, i peel them off.
    As you have mentioned the peeling of paint, I cannot say anything without having a watch over that peeled off paint. If you can than please post pictures, otherwise another option is to go to a Paint shop and ask him.
    Another alternative; Buy black crayons which matches the color of alloys very closely, and apply them on the affected area, it could hide the oddness of wheel.

      ^your tapes can be removed,it was already peeling off you posted the pics,but mine is very hard to remove it has already been through all kinds of waters in the rainy season.
      though area affected is very small and probably will not make any difference,one has to look closely to notice it..

            @Ceasar - May be u cud get a matt black spray paint and get it done . It costs only around 250rs. Take a look at my silencer; i hav painted it after some damn hard scratch.

                guys i took the sticker off my digital speedometer today,
                ie six months after i bought my beauty.
                it went off easily and looks new.
                did water wash.
                bike rolls easily and
                some i ll minded freak removed the bajaj logo from my visor.
                i got it frm a sticker shop.thank god he didnt meddle with the remaining stickers

                    i have a 2006 pulsar 180 dtsi which has done 10400 kms and today before i started my bike i noticed some thread like stuff coming out of the exhaust...

                    on further inspection i also noticed a hole on the lower side of the exhaust close to the tip.the thread like stuff comes out a little from there as well.

                    what should i do about this ?

                      Did you tried removing that thread like thing. Its a strange for me too.
