Better option is to go to SC and ask them about the problem.
BTW, Oil leakage stopped or not??

              • waiting!!!!!

i was silently reading this thread for a long time...it was very hard to choose my first bike...About me..m a student doing my engineering...i travel 60km to n fro every day to my coll...mostly ride on ring roads so not much traffic.. i needed a bike with some masculine looks, good power n decent mileage...

After lot of research i listed 3 bikes P180,A180 and gs1150r...

GS150R:great commuter bike, refined engine,6 gears, decent mileage, best speedo in its class...but i felt that it lacked some raw power and styling was not up to the mark(no offenses)....

A180:It has some serious power, great pickup..but the seating position did not suit me as my height is 5'11" and bike looked bit small...also i felt 74,620 on road is not VFM...

                here comes the beast..THE PULSAR180
At first i was not much interested in pulsar as its very common in bangalore.. but always liked to rip my frens pulss.....after test riding a180 i realized a180 is not my bike..its surely a great bike but not for me..i felt that pulsar is my bike...it had some unique features..
                once u sit on p180 u get a feeling of sitting on a beast..clipons,120 rear section,split seat,17.02ps power,bigger forks is simply great...vfm bike..
Finally booked p180 in khivraj motors.. waiting for my red beast...
how much u guys paid on road??its 72,600 in bangalore..

Hey Ceasar.. so sad to hear about this "SomeOne".. you should really be very carefull while parking your beasts. do envy your bike every time.. mine friends always laugh at me (as i always look at my bike if someone is standing or staring my bike closely..) and say "Saale new bike hai na tabhi itni tashan mar raha hai.. tension mat le koi nahin le jayega.."
But guys really. I dont take it otherwise. and my self satisfied when i find my bike in safe mode.. as one never know when these freak people will make menace with your beast..

First of all. welcome on Bike i mean board and congrats for choosing machine of your own preference... Appreciate if you can post the pics of your stunning red beast once you get it...

It depends state to state. (as road tax defer) in NCR it cost me 70016 (On Road), while in delhi u may find it between in 65000-67000.. so dont worry for price index.. its already wise decision made..

                          Donot use SMS language.
You will need to set the focus of the headlight beam, better go to any SC and get it done.
Getting a new 55W bulb will increase the illumination, you can lay your hands on Philips Xtreme Power or Osram Night Breaker.

                            • Thx abhi and himanshu i wanted blue, wasnt available so had to get this.. dont regret though, its just that keeping this clean is a pain in the (rear) :P
had to sneak outta office early today and go for my first date with bajaj's-crappy-quality-issues :P
_the neutral light was either not lightin up or flickering 70% of the times i tried shifting since morning.. got it fixed from the service station, there was some water in the part of the gearshift rod that is in contact with electricals(probably neutral switch wire) :O :O wonder how water got in there ???
also my left handle bar feels slightly lower than the right, plus i think there is some problem with the cone set, when in motion, the handle doesnt turn as smoothly to the left, as on the right (very minor problem, wouldnt notice unless you drive for quite some distance), will get all of these fixed comin weekend when i go for first service..
and guys, would it be a problem if i go for first service at 350-400 kms? coz i drive through lot of traffic everyday fro about 60kms, wear n tear inside engine would be alot in these first 350-400kms..so wanted to change oil/service early
pardon me for the xxxtra long post

today i was in a mood to totally peel off the rim tapes, and while removing it accidentally i peeled off some paint also ,it was so hard to remove that,it has become a part of the wheel.I was able to remove only half of the left side of the front tire.
a very small amount of paint has got peeled off,now hat to do,does the sc guyz repaint only for that area??

Edit: another alternative is i will put on the rim tapes of the same color on the area where i have removed it and claim warranty for the peeling, will that do?
how do you guyz remove those tapes, its better to have no rim tapes man sh*t!
SC guys will paint it in no more than 5 rs
