    @ Sanju : Pulsar 180 UG IV is not that much Pillion friendly, specially for Fairer sex.
    My Girl friend used to complain about hard pillion seat, so I fitted a extra layer of soft foam above my pillion seat, now she is happy.

    My mom uas unhappy due to absence of footrest on saree guard, so I fitted a Fz16 foot rest with some jugad, Now she is also happy
    No Matter Whether Guys buy 220cc Pulsars or 350cc Royal Enfields,
    It is used only to follow a 80cc Scooty Pep...

      Me too thinking on the pillion comfort for my wife.The Bajaj dealers did not get a foot rest for u.Also does the open chain cause any problem in pillion with saree.

        and the jacket too is a cheap 200rs winter jacket itz not a rider one.
        dude, if possible, buy a cheap 200-300 Rs. helmet till you can invest in a good lid.. something is better than nothing.. later on, you can use it as a spare helmet for your GF at pillion seat ..

              One suggestion from my end next time you plan for a ride.. don't go ahead.. instead use the cash and buy a helmet.. you get decent ones for around 500-800 Rs.. Later on when you have the cash get a good (safer) lid...
              Riding Gloves, Riding jackets, Knee & Elbow protector and Riding boots comes in way way later.. but Helmet always first..

              Till then Ride Safe

                • whoaaaa! @ abhi -- CHAMP has extracted 62-63kmpl out of ug4 during first 500km ! beat that if u can
                  @champ--ug3 is more torquier than ug4...but therz a lot of things rectified on ug4..for eg gearbox,..ug3 has no good gear box but its better than previous versions..now ug4's box is completely rectified AFAIK..correct me if am wrong..and most important .,ug4 is more refined than ug3
                  i had bought my ug3 hust before 2 months of the launch of ug4..had i known that,i could have gone it
                  but but.,i am not at a total loss..i enjoy the beast like pull of ug3 low end torque comes into play..and i dont mind the topspeed ,in the end therz just a 4-5 km more than ug3..

                    really awesome. didnot know how did you drove it during those 500km.

                    do u get now also 60+.

                    i tried in all conditions but maximum i could get was 54kmpl.

                    welll i cannot beat champ.

                    damn 60+ mileage itz very difficult. though i have tried to extract best mileage but maxed out at 54kmpl.

                    but some correction for you::: the UG4's gear box is still very notchy, not completely resolved and i still find hell lot of difficult to find nuetral and gear shifts on UG4 are not much smooth one could easily feel hardness while shifting through gears.

                    the low end torque on UG4 is very poor, with two persons on bike i still find bike to struggle while coming out of a pothhole from standstill position.

                    ya! itz the most refined pulsar in all P180 lot .that i own

                    • the highest mileage extracted out of my ug3 is 52kmpl after each service i get that figures irrespective of the riding

                      and i am also in the same situation like you,i had a fully blown helmet when i had callibre,but after that ..we shifted anmd therz no sign left of it..so i bought a cheap ; low end stuff for 600 ,and saviing money for a good one

                        to buy a helmet of 600 rs i still need atleast 1 month. becuz i m really become poor on money departement because in last two months i had to spent 15000rs on my college exam forms,extra ciruccilar activites.
                        so now i donot hsve courage and cannot dare to ask my father for even a 100rs, i have to steal money from my father's pocket in night say at 12:00 hrs when everyone is sleeping

                            have got it fixed with a k&n along with iridium Sprak Plugs...
                            My ride does a top of 145kmph and give me a descent 40kmpl..
