wat are the negative changes in engine in exceeding the speed limit(75km/hr)?
Hi Arsh, welcome to Xbhp Bro& congrates for the new ride
    Where are u from ???

    Now Ap per manual
    0-1000 : 65kmph max
    1000-2000 : 75 kmph max

New engines need proper run in before they are ready to be ripped so these speed limits, Crossing them will prevent proper sealing of piston rings, which in future may result in Low mileage and bad engine sound

@abhi : Hi Bro, as fas as I remember you recently switched to Motul 5100, How the experience, please share with us, whats the cost

Vibrations Hmmm... May be because you gen drive at lower speeds that means 3k-5k rpm, so it might vibrate for first few times, Coz in my little journey what I have noticed is that if you rip uour bike a bit, it Might scream a bit for first 1 or 2 times, but after that It becomes more free

Can you guys post yor idle rpm
1, When you stat in the morning
          2. After engine in hot i.e riding for 10-15 mins

Also anyone knows the no of teeth in rear spockets in p180

fantastic!! imust say though i didnot feel any major difference for first 100-200kms, but now it is running butter smooth excepting that above 6K RPM vibrations, i think those are due to tappets..

guyz seriously thise who have done more than 2500kms get their tappets set, you can recognize tappets noise by listening close to engine itz a type of KAR-KAR noise..

my idling RPm is 1000K-1100K(it varies every morning, i have to still keep some accelerator ON to keep bike from stalling for first 20-30secs) at cold start.
after warm up it goes to 1300-1500K(again showing varying nature).

BTW P180 ug4 has 14(front)/39(rear teeth) sprocket combination i.e. 39 teeths in rear sprocket thus a better topend than UG3

                    Thanks man!
                    I am from east Delhi
one thing more my handle shows slight shakiness above 45km/hr speed (its like slight left-right motion of handle and wiser)more when i put off my hands from the handle bar(obviously for few secs)
also there is a continous annoying sound from engine as i accelerate above 50.
my bike didnt have any minor accident.tyre pressure is 28/32.
                    Wat cud be the problem?

i also didnot have any problem at speeds above 70kmph in past, but the problem started just a few days ago..it was vibrating like my old pulsar150 used to vibrate.. above 6K...

to check tappet, put bike on main stand and switch it ON,now listen to engine sound carefully, if there is a noise of KAR-KAR-KAR on idle or even when you accelerate a bit, then ur bike needs tappet setting..

else show to mechanic and ask him to check tappets noise...

it may depend on tyre pressure, type of road,if ur riding alone or with pillion,...

                      • What mileage do u guys get with sane riding? Is there a major difference in the power thrust in comparison with the P150? Apart from the engine, are the parts common with the P150? Can a normal Bajaj A.S.S do a good enough service of the bike when taken to some rural places?

pickup is definetely better than P150, and a more relaxed, happy engine for high revs riding. than P150....
yes, some cosmetic parts is what most of the bajaj bikes have common in them..
are u from a rural place??, donot have idea, but my SC does a fine job for me..

AFAIK you didnot own a pulsar neither 150 nor 180, so why did u asked the question???

I am from Bangalore, and I own a Unicorn. Its pretty lazy as far as pick up is concerned, and I like to do long rides. I am paranoid about the bike breaking down in the middle of nowhere and me not knowing what the hell to do about it. Bajaj centers are located in every nook and corner of the country.

Besides, my Unicorn is grossly underpowered for long rides and unless I stick to 65-70, it isnt terribly smooth at speeds higher than that. I prefer a bike with a larger heart to do the same speeds instead of me redlining all the time. I am a 65-70kmph's rider and I like the bike to be unstressed till 80kmph. I dont ride faster than 80kmph at all.

Go for the P180, it cruises easily at 85kmph.. It has better top end grunt too...
