  • i never trust those fuel guage meter ..those are not accurate...sometimes it shows 2 blocks after filling 4 litrres..some times it shows none....
and yes when i got my p180 ug3 i had such problems regarding the fuel....the bike would not start ...even if it is on reserver and reserve means atleast 2 litres...then i called bajaj mechanic ..he fixed the problem.by blowing some air ...he said that it was AIRBLOCK... :P

altho its a mar 08 bike .. so dunno if rust could be a possibility so soon ... have completed 23k+ .. n some of it on pretty bad roads..
anyways will have to check ..

btw .. if the main tank has fuel in it ... n still i turn the knob to Reserve ..does it use the fuel from the main tank or the reserve one .. coz i have tried it so .. n it was running fine that way ...
cud it be possible that it is pulling the reserve wala fuel in the ON position itself ... but it finished wid 1 bar still there .. altho i don trust the fuel gauge too much anyways ...
but .. dunno .. wat cud it be ..??
my fault== i misguided you that rust maybe a cause, but it should not be as your bike is new(only 1year old)..

tank is same only difference between main and reserve is that
there are two pipes connected at lower part of fuel tank
first one i.e main takes fuel from slightly higher part of tank (it has longer tube).
while reserve takes fuel from lowest point of tank so even if your bike is on main, shifting to reserve will not affect anything as reserve is lowest part of tank.
if this does not clears than

consider longest finger of your hand and shortest finger..
longer one is the tube which takes fuel when bike is on main and shorter one is reserve.. so reserve will work either way.

Do you have pic of the illumination spread at night time? Please post the pic if you have one..

Also, I believe it is a direct fit in the UG-IV na? Does this affect the battery?

Last question, whats the cost of the bulb?
yes,i had found them better than to be better than osram, osram are expensive to buy and does not worth that much money..
extreme visions are cheaper, well about price i donot remember as it has bees 1-1\2 year ago i switched to them..

i donot have picture but you can try it out it worked for me..(not on my p180ug4)..
i have not yet tried them on mine p180..
battery drain should be there but no major problem regarding battery issue.

Thats wat i m curious about .. coz I have tried this ... Right after filling 500 bucks of fuel .. so main has lots of fuel too ... i put it anyway into reserve ... and it was running then.. so that means that the reserve pipe is not choked ...

i think using kerosene should make the black patches on handlebar dissappear. though i had not used kerosene on it so far...
