i could reach 118 kmph on the highways.....howz that....didnt try more than that....but i think it could do 2-3 kmph more

but i am dissatisfied with the milage....i am hardly getting 35kmpl

what mileage would you expect from it??

mine is giving mileage of 50kmpl in cities believe it or not.. but i rarely took it over 60kmph in city my normal speed is between 50kmph-55kmph not more than that and both(me and ma bike) of us are happy living
Hey I've done 128kmph a few weeks back (short burst) and I ride in traffic everyday. Also, hit 100kmph numerous times.. mileage is still 38 to 40kmpl..

@abhi -- I do not think short bursts of high speeds is going to reduce the mileage this drastically...

but travelling at speeds 50kmph puts less strain on your engine, and hence less loss of fuel.

even if you vary speeds do that very slightly e.g. from 50 to 70kmph what i do is

increase slice of throttle to reach 53-55kmph maintain for 1-2 secs, again increase to 60kmph then 63-65kmph maintain it for 1-2secs, go for 70-75kmph..

what i mean is that variation in speed should be such that no-one, either you, pillion or the bike should not feel the speed

          • hey guyz please post pictures of your bikes..

i am very eager to see pulsars of yours???

looks like there is a problem in ma bike

after my 2nd service the bike is behaving strangely..

            coming to point

when i revv the bike say to about 4k-5k-6k the bike takes hic-ups..

i mean when i revv bike, it behaves as when your bike is short of fuel..

i think that mechanic has set the carburetter mixture too "lean"..

i will have to take it back to SC.. but am busy this days..

                    very nice pictures..

the red bull is looking astonishing good.

the red rim tapes didnot appeared very appealing. i think golden rim tapes would look superb on REd coloured bull...

how much did the tank bag costed to you...????

i am also thinking of installing the bag, but one question ,

what when we wash our vehicle, can the tank bag be removed , how did you wash your bike, does the tank bag leave minor scratches on tank???

                        sorry too many questions

no problem man.you can easily remove the bag and scratches not a prob as the inner surface of the bag is very smooth.but after a while it may cause small scrathces.but definitely the scratches will be lesser than what would come if you don have a bag!

                            good to hear that..

i will get the bag tommorow.

should i get it from bajaj showroom or an aftermarket fit.
in your pictures there is only small pouch on bag, so i doubt if it is more of use than just keeping little things in it...

and regarding the tap..its a flashy red...perhaps blood red (dark) colour would suit better
