Yes. I saw it.. but again 131kmph on speedo.. I'd already touched 128kmph before as well..

Exactly.. Even I haven't the slightest idea what the true speed was.

See my bike does hits speed around 122kmph with ease, then I just had to lay flat on the tank and vola I did see a 131 on the digi console.. Tried it again but just couldn't .. May be the wind direction helped..

But yes I cannot prove it here guys.. I seen it so I've posted the same here..

I highly doubt the true speed will be anything more than 120. All the 180s after the V1 were geared for lower end performance. (Not sure about the latest version).

My 5 year old 180 V1 with 20 kgs of luggage and an 85 kg rider punched out 117 true speed a month ago, and I feel pretty proud with that. I think it's good for another 6-7 kph and that's about it.

I'm sure Joel will have more info on the true speed of the Pulsars, and maybe we can have a run in one of his speedchecks here in Bangalore.

i ve compared the speedo of ug3 n ug4 n at 50 kmph ug4 shows 2kmph more than ug3.......i.e. the speedo of the new version has more error than its predecessor.........

but P180 ug3 may also have error, may be that speedo of UG3 was incorrect i.e. it shows -2kmph speed than actual,.. the UG4 may be correct in this manner

buddy every speedo has errors........pulsars have the most accurate speedos,if u run an rtr/fz/r15 parallel to a pulsar ,pulsar will show less speed than any of em.......but new edition is having more error than the previous version thats y that 131 as someone said above is acceptable
n if that ug3 shows less speed than then actual, then its the 2nd fastest indian after 220 coz it touched 129,so 129+2 =131 kmphactual speed...........

The 180 has always been a scorcher when it comes to top revs and top speed, A brilliant performer i must say.. i always wished its handling was better..
For your reference My stock 180 ug3 outran the RTR fi both in the acceleration and top speed runs that we did some months back at the NICE road with joel, it was doing 115kmph on the speed gun at the end of the quarter mile with the dash reading 117kmph which puts its error at 2kmph at such high speeds and it was clocking 128kmph on dash at the tops which is 125 true easily.. The P180 was pulling away from the RTR with 128kmph on the dash when the RTR was doing 133 on the dash... I guess that explains everything..
The UG4 speedo's are highly optimistic and the true speed is almost -10 at 130kmph speeds.. So going by the ug3 standards, yes the UG4 can do 134-135 tops too as the speedo is error prone..

129 kmph on the UG3 is not possible as the P180 hits its revv limiter in top gear at 128kmph and the cdi cuts off the spark.. I dunno how one was able to touch 129...
I have tested hundred times and do it almost every month when out for some trip... it does 128kmph @ 10300rpm nearly and thats it... it gets cuts off and comes back to 10300 again...

how did u check the true sped buddy,if u used a mobile gps then let me tell u that mobile gps ,though more accurate than the bike speedos , are not 100% accuarte..........
n 134-135 is impossible on any p180 unless the speedo is tampered or the bike is modded or there is too much slope.........

It was tested with speedgun as i mentioned in my post... I know gps is not very accurate... But u can rely on the speedgun
And no.. 134 -135 on dash is impossible on the p180ug3 as the bike hits off the revvlimiter at 128kmph... The CDI cuts off exactly there and i'm pretty sure the new 180 cuts off at 10.5k rpm

buddy i myself have touched 129 on a ug3,but i don't kno till where the limiter allows in ug4........but i think its more coz i saw a vid in which the guy hit 115/116 in 4th gear ,whereas in ug3 it gets cut-off at 109.........

                            • plz guyz stop talking about the thing that never exists, all of us know that the true top speed of any DTS-i (ug3,ug4) is 115kmph(+-1)..

so no sense of talkin about topspeeds, the speedos have huge errors that keeps on building as the speed of bike increases.

so at speedometer reading of 132(as mentioned by members here) in UG4 you are actually doing 115-117kmph.. that is the truth whether we believe or not..

i know there speedo errors ,but the top speed of ug3 is 119 not 115(+-1) n the ug4 does even more ...........
