Nice Pics Of the pulsar twins brother..

ok.. I am here to share some issues i m havin
    ..
My BIke has done 800 Km .. Jus 200 KM more to reach 1000 km

Guys Sometimes i feel lack of throttle response with my machine...
I mean .. Sometimes when i twist it.. the response which i get is jus fine ..on other time dnt know how it doesnt feel the same and bike feels hungry for more power.. like its a 100 cc engine..

But this issues remains only for few second and on different speed i feel proper response frm the engine...ny idea..?

Plus i m getting not so gud mileage .. I guess i m jus gettin somethin around 30 ... I have never gone above 65 ..coz it runin-in time ... n most of the times.. i m a sane rider..

3rd .. I feel my chain (can be somethin else) is makin some extra sound.. the sound comes frm xactly under the drivers seat... Its difiicult to explain the xact sound but it comes like .. krrrrr krrrrrrrr krrrrrrr krrrr
    waitin for replies
    1) Lack of throttle response may be due to incorrect gear. I mean to say that for a good response the bike should be in right gear corresponding to speed. for e.g. if you are in 5th gear in speed of 30kmph, now you pull the throttle the bike will find it difficult to accelerate initially, but as it reaches 40-50kmph it will accelerate nicely.

    2) How did you checked the mileage is a big question here?

    3) Yes, the chain makes noise from below the rider's seat(near front sprocket), it is normal and if it increases then clean your chain and it will be reduced not 100% gone.

    • Hi Abhi bhai .. thanks for the quick reply...

Actualy i alwayz maintain proper gear and speed ratio ..(most of the times).. as i have already mentioned i havnt pushd my bike beyond limits...

But still i felt the lack of power in the bike.. it increases when riding with pillon...
I had told this to SC guys as well on my 1st servc..But the prblm is stil there i guess...

      any1 else ever felt this..

And abt mileage... I wnt2 ask how do you guys measure acurate mileage tht u Bike is returnin.. I mean is there any perfect formula.. Apart from Drainin the fuel tank and puttin 1 lit to check how many KM it goes..

        Hi,
See the bike has loosen abit on pickup due to added weight, the torque is also down by 1Nm(i guess) when compared to old 180. The bike feels sometimes a little underpowered especially with pillion, i too have experienced it.
as you have mentioned that you keep the bike within 5K(run-in), then too you will be experiencing a little downsize in power as the actual powerband of the bike is in between 4K-8K. If not cleared than do try to give short bursts by taking the bike uptill 6.5K(for 1-3sec) rpm in run-in and you will get my point.

The method that most of the riders follow is:
"Fill in 5-6 ltr of petrol in your bike, from now note the odo reading say it"A", ride the bike untill it hits reserve, at this point again note the odo reading say it "B"."

When the bike is in reserve it has still 3.2ltrs(correct me if i am wrong)of petrol in it. therefore: total petrol consumed will be 6 ltrs-3.2ltrs=2.8ltrs.

        average = A(odo reading) - B/petrol consumed till reserve.

        another simple method is:
"Fill the tank fully by petrol, note the odo reading. now after 200-300kms of riding, again fill the tank fully. Note the amount of petrol that comes in this time. This will be the petrol consumed. follow the above formula for average calculation."

Waah... waah "pulsarized" jodi kya banai

who is male and who is female(bikes) + is your brother's bike?

I think you also would have ridden P135, how is it different from our bike>?

          jodi
          i did ride my bro's P135
another brother of mine had discover 135 i rode it immediately to notice the difference and i ve found that P135 is really better than the disco in handling its quick, lighter in weight, has got clip ons feels easy to handle in traffic conditions.I was stunned by the bikes pick up its superb

About how different it is from our bikes
          It has got
          a single trip meter,
          good looking tachometer,
          no side stand indicator.
          no self cancelling indicators
          and no dc electricals.
Moreover the braking is too sharp for its weight that if we apply sudden brakes i feel that bike may be tough to come to standstill and may skid a little

          otherwise bikes really good

            • Hi Guys, can somebody advise when to turn the nob of petrol lever towards "Reseve" position.
I mean to say.. How many time i should allow that red button flashing for low fuel (at RPM meter right lower) as normally when bike is about to be in reserve condition its resist in moving untill we turn the nob to its reserve position (to allow further fuel)

Hope i m clear with my doubt.. he he

You mean back light and rest LEDs in there...they are hard soldered on internal PCB so you can't change them and anyway from where can you get other color for back display? Also It will void the warranty .

Look no further than motul 3000 15W50 1L mineral oil MRP 230
It went above my expectations when I put it in at first servicing

Use Motul or OKS chain lube for chain lube...

I was going to same doubt here
when I'm having just a Liter above reserve bike feels strained at 70, I think lower amount of fuel reduces the pressure of fuel inside carb so at high speed fuel and air ratio get messed up....I think this is what I'm experiencing
                        help here plzz

                        • today I cleaned chain with kerosene and lubed it with Penzoil SAE 90 oil...excessive oil has done lubing to both stands automatically crawling noise of chain has gone ...also cleaned air filter although there was nothing to clean it ...and got left side sparkplug out cleaned it too..had hard time to put it back in...couldn't get right side spark plug out though ...color of spark plug tip was brownish black meaning bike is running on perfect tuning of fuel and air ratio
BTW, I bought this Penzoil sae90 half liter can for 89...anyone know this brand?

                          • @pulsarized-yes i did the right thing by avoiding hitting the kid,But it cost me some scars on my bike

@lockhrt- I guess its a good brand. In fact u hardly find a bad brand in the market unless the oil rating u r using is wrong ..I got a list of questions for you.
how did u clean the air filter?Where is it located? And dude did u *spray* the oil to the chain? Its meant to be sprayed not applied..And since u've perfect A/F mixture, what mileage does ur bike gets u?

@everybody-guys i still haven't cleared wit my doubt.Pls Give a perfect suggestion. My bike's done 2100kms but the SC guy didn't change the oil(had put castrol power1 during 1st service). He told me to run my bike 1000 more kms for next oil change.Should i oblige that??I'm confused.Help me if ur damn sure...

RED BUTTON Flashing?? or you mean red LED light??
It doesn't flash when there is low fuel!!!! This light flashes only if you hit the red line on the rpm meter...

The red light glows when you tank has fuel below... You turn the reserve only when you are out of main fuel.. As you said bike will stop and you need to turn it fuel knob to reserve position to start it again..
Actually while riding only you'll feel drop in throttle response and you need to bring the knob to reserve..

I've happened to look at a crashed bike console.. its a totally sealed unit.. you can't open and seal it back (just not an option).. all you can do is break it open and there's a single LCD thing inside (sort of) but once broken it cannot be fixed..
so changing he console light is not possible as per my limited knowledge

Ditto....Same issue here bro.. its too irritating riding with the last 1 or half liter of fuel before reserve.. I thought only my bike had this prob.. lets see if this can be fixed during my next service..

BTW another 600 km more for my 5th service (1st not free service).
Has anyone got the 5the service done?
