the mineral oil used By SC wont even last for a day,the next day engine becomes ROUGH,don't ever let the Sc goons change the engine oil,buy a can and do it yourself

and the time interval between every free service is 2500km,and all the free services should be completed within 240 days from the date of sale, itz not just for one service

EDIT--i switched from mineral oil( dunno which Shitty oIl Sc guyz were using) to motul 5100,the performance is just awesome,no leakage so far, motul has unleashed the true beast out of my p180,i am late to react,i should have never followed the manual,it says change the engine oil with a gap of 2500km damn.!

Ohk..thanks for the reply..What is the cost for motul 5100??

Till your 2nd service stick to SC oil. Do tell them to pour the oil in front of you.

Thats the old stock price as even i paid 320 per bottle to the dealer. He only had 4 bottles left so we took 3 for us, me and my friend rock n rolla who also owns a 220, he negotiated with him and didnt even pay him what the dealer called as engine oil change labour

Next time i go to buy the oil, i will have to shell out 395 too, uh will shift to 300V at 5k kms and that costs a bomb around 900 i think.

My bike has loose motion's with 5100 4T, so there's no point i will shift to 300V.

LOL, i hope the leaks have stopped now. This loose motion thing has affected many bikes, get a stronger dose of medicine.

Yes, in 3rd visit to SC the problem seems to be sorted out for a few 40kms, will have to check for another 100kms.

                        • I was just sitting IDLE looking at my bike in the garden of my house, some thoughts came in my mind, i would just like to share
"Do not anybody think here that P180 is the bike for which bajaj has paid least attention, they have developed all new 220FI, 220Dtsi,P200 and even the 150 has been tweaked more times than our 180's, Bajaj has just cutted parts from P200 and P220 and then pasted it onto 180 to give it a new look and engine remains mostly the same with only abit more power. "

I mean to say that P180 is a bike to which if bajaj takes seriously then it would make other manufacturer's looking numb. Bajaj has never done a huge research on making this bike a good performer along with racing DNA as TVS did in its apache. Too much dissappointement for bajaj.

                          Still i love my bike.

but it lasts longer dude and with 5100 the bike is flying, imagine the effect of 300V
it lasts for atleast 6000-7000km good enough for that price,it is almost same as you spend 400 INR for every 2000Km,but 300V requires timely topups i guess,i dunno what cost is involved in that process

both the bikes 150 and 180 has been tweaked 4 times but difference is more of a cosmetic job..and some refinement job and p200 shares some of its spares with p180uG3 ..and p180Ug4 shares the cosmetic touch of p200..ooooh so much hera-pheri done by bajaj.seriously, they need to do some solid work on their engines .
but you know one thing, that is what it makes pulsars unique from other brands, rough n tough unlike other refined machines, atleast i feel so,dont flame me

Rather than launching a model in each segment e.g 135cc,150cc,200cc,..
bajaj should concentrate on improving their existing models, just like yamaha have concentrated on R15 at a time and look what they have got?.
But, Bajaj lives in its own world. a tipical indian would do the same.
