Hello Hello.. Yep very long time..

I had to get my bike's starter kit replaced as I was facing lots of problems with self start.. there was some loss of friction and some bushing had gotten worn it.. So got that replaced and now no problems..

Hmm.. no ya I don't hear any noise from the handle-bar..

By the was you guys were discusssing about this CrampBusters.. What does it do?
Its not a throttle lock na??? Of what I've read its only for comfort in the wrist while riding.. Whats the price of it?

Few posts back someone said he's gotten it on his bike.. Waiting for the pics.. Please post a pic of wrist position as well with the CrampBuster.. Thanks

    Cheers 'n' Ride Safe,

                  • Hi guys,

Picked-up my bike back from the SC today. The bike was with the SC for last 2.5 Days. The bike has clocked 9231kms, and the list of the works that were carried out in the SC are as follows:

                    1) General Servicing (3rd paid, Last service was at 8000kms approx.)
                    2) Carburetor overhaul
                    3) Air filter element (Changed)
                    4) Front Fork Oil (Changed)
                    5) Drive chain lock and link (Changed)
                    6) Front handle-bars noise (still persists, it is due to the handle lock vibrating at 4K & above RPM.)

The total bill was some 450Rs including taxes and spares.

                    Post Service:
The bike is running butter smooth ever than before. The gear shifts are smoother than ever before too.

Valvoline 20w50 was not available through out the city, I searched each and every possible shop that I knew. Finally, settled for Motul 15w50 Mineral, though the Motul SS & FS were also available. But, as you all know that my bike is prone to leak estered oils; therefore I decided to go for mineral only. This time the drain interval was 1100kms.(if I remembered correctly)

                    Thanks.

                    @arjun: Nice Pictures.

Hi Abhi, which service centre do you go to? I think I have read in some previous posts that you are in Pune. Is it correct?

I really need a good SC in Pune. I just got my bike serviced [2nd Free Servicing] at the Shivaji Nagar SC and I am not at all happy with it.

The complete servicing was done in 15 mins which included cleaning air filter and cleaning spark plugs. Apart from this, that guy only did some oiling and sent the bike for washing.

I am facing problems with the Gear Shift [very hard to shift and find the neutral] and handle bars [vibrates too much above 50 KMPH, I think the front tyre/ head-light asembly / handle bars everything has started to vibrate too much suddenly from past few days]

Please let me know a good Bajaj SC in Pune, as one of the Free service is still remaining for my bike.

                      • @NH4:
Unfortunately, I'm not the one you are looking for. I am not from Pune; but I do visit Pune, frequently, as my brother studies there. Gear shifts will be felt hard till 3rd service after that the bike will start easing out slowly.
Sometimes, the gearshifts are also felt hard due to improper position of gear lever.(either too low or too high) get that checked.

                        • heyy guys i'm back from my rohtang trip..

got an avg of about 20-30 in hills.. and the main problem was the seat which was very uncomfortable..
rohtang was -4 and bike felt little heavy there...
marhi to rohtang road is in very bad condition or we can say there is no road at all.. and was the toughest part of my journey to cover..it was around 50kms of off-roding
at -4 also the bike responded well.. i thought that there would be some starting problem but bike started at the first self... where my frnds karizma R failed..

at last bike gave no major problem..

i'll give a full log with pics later..
Look out at the darkness, and you will see
Just call my name and I'll be there
You cannot touch me, you would not dare
I am the chill that's in the air

and am not at all happy with the service
they say hard gear shifting is normal

i asked them to decline my bike's headlight beam which was not done
then i got it done from roadside mechanic and after one day it again went up

                              • @paths_of_glory:

K&N is a waste of money and will give you a crisper throttle responce, that's it.

To get the most out of it (read 3-5% more) you have to up-jet your bike, increase the fuel in the mixture to compensate the increased airflow that'll make your average drop by 15-20kmpl.

Stick to the original filter unless and untill you're a hardcore K&N fan.

Iridium's difference can only be felt at high RPM's.
