    • This Weekend I took my bike for 3 rd Free Servicing :

      Total Kms: 4900 km
      Fuel Ef : 40 kmpl avg. (+/- 2)
      Handling and stability : Good
      Top Speed Achieved : 110 kmph ( Was'nt going beyond that )
      Acceleration : Avg.

Also, those SVC guys didnt even wash my Bike .. when i asked them they said their SC's Water Pump has broke down so within next 15 days again i need to take my bike to SC just for Washing.

I cudnt manage time to go to Motul distributor and get Motul 5100... So my bike is running on Bajaj's DTSi 20W50 oil .... Dnt know the Outcome of it but i had to change the Oil

Since 2 days of running i cudnt find much of improvements though gear shift has become little smooth ...

But i am just not satisfied with the rate with which P180 UG 4 Accelerates.
      ..

There is on point which i cudnt understand is when they are adding fatter tyres along with extra meaty fork and all, its so obvious that it ll add extra weight on total weight of the bike.. Instead of increasing the Torque . Mr rahul bajaj decides to decrease it .. wth ..

FZ's initial torque and Pull is way better than P180 's Torque being a 150 cc mill...
Like kurt say, 'the sun is gone, but i have the light' ...

Hmmm.. quite the same that i think. There are some issues with 180 that needs tobe taken care of. Still, i think that it is a good cruiser rather than a street bike.

In Bajaj bikes you will never ever get smooth(Yammie or suzu or hondi) type gearshifts. They will always have a DeSi feeling, call it a nature or a creation of Bajaj.

            • Hi There!!!

Its been so long to post on this thread so thought to just update my FE, after second service my bike has started returning 39-40 KMPL which is +2/3 what i was getting it prior to carb tuning (done in second service) with same riding condition, i hope if I start riding it at more lower speed i may achive some uber cool mileage from this 180 cc mill.
              fingure crossed.
Rest bike is running fine.. now i get enough time in weekends due to lesser work pressure. but can not hold with some long drive plan due to such immense heat outside..

              • @himanshumm: Long time no see.

Guys my bike's CLIP-ON's are making vibrating noise when revve'd post 5K RPM. The sound is like krrrrrrr... when i revv past 5K and it's from handle-bars, from somewhere which i could'nt recognize neither the SC and any mechanic is able to. Although they all say that there is a noise.

Did you not Test Ride the P180 UG4 before buying one?

It is heavier, it has fatter tyres so it does feel a little sluggish. But AFAIK, P180 is very good in the Mid-Range and High-Range Torque. I have experienced this myself. I agree that FZ's initial pull is a little better than P180. It is because it weighs only 132 KG (thanks to the plastic tank) compared to 148 KG Kerb weight of P180.

But FZ is not very good in the higher torque ranges. Means, if you doing 80 on a highway, and you need to overtake a four-wheeler (by reaching to 95-98), FZ will let you down, but P180 will just fly ahead with you.

Also, FZ's much talked about 'Initial Pull' becomes very pathetic when you are riding with a pillion. P180 definitely scores more in this aspect too as there is absolutely no change in performance with a pillion.

                  • Checklist for paid servicing

Guys, I'd be grateful to you all if you can provide a checklist for the paid servicing of P180 UG4 and Bajaj service center.

I know there is one provided in owners manual.
But people who have done there bikes servicing in front of them , can please mention what all things to look at while our bike is being serviced.

I am gonna stand right there n see my bike being serviced in my sight.
Coz I think that's when i'll get my bike being serviced properly.

Well Dude i Can't agree with you on those words (read bold)...and i feel most of the guys here wont... P180 with pillion.. there is significant loss in peformance..

And Yes Of course i did TD of P180 before buying it.... and No i am not starting a discussion on FZ is better or P180 is better.. I am just Comparing only one of the spec of both the bikes....

New P180 UG4 has got improved on road stability with fatter tyres no doubt abt that...Everything is great ...

I just said i miss that initial acceleration rate of classic P180 ... Tht even gave HH Karizma run for money ..

Nothing 'major' happens during a servicing. A general servicing includes:
                        1) Tightening of all nuts and bolts, chain .
                        2) Carb. cleaning\tuning(if mentioned).
                        3) Checking & diagnoising problems (if mentioned by owner).
                        4) Engine Oil change, Air filter cleaning.
                        5) Lubrication of Accelerator cable, Clutch cable, Chain, other respective parts(if any).
                        6) Checking\cleaning front brake pads and rear brake drum alignment (if required, when brakes are making squeaking noise.).
                        7) Electrical check-up and diagonising.

No Man... I respect your opinion... But I do not agree with it.

I have been very curious about this aspect of P180 when I decided to buy one for myself and I have myself checked it on more than one occasions. There is almost no loss in performance of 180 UG4 with a pillion.

Let's agree to disagree about this point. We know we all love the P180s no matter what.

The point about 'missing the accleration of classic 180', you might be right, I can not comment of it. Because I never got a chance to ride the classic version of 180.

Trust me! I have owned a Pulsar 150 classic and Ridden a Pulsar 180 classic and mind you! those are still ruling over my heart. Once you ride Classic's you will too be their fan.
