As long as the bike is performing flawlessly i don't see any valid reason to change oil within short durations!Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View Post

@ceaser I like draining my pocket for my bike rather than wasting on GF.
Bajaj oil will be available on it' SC. Try Valvoline 20w50 oil, Motul 15w50, Motul 300v.Originally posted by whytryharder View PostYup. Any idea from where to get that? Or which should be the optimum replacement for the same oil at first service?

this bajaj engine oil is supposed to last 10,000 kmOriginally posted by whytryharder View PostGuys, Actually few queries!
1. One month after, its first servicing would be due. Which Engine oil to use? And I hope that the bike is already having engine oil, do you guys recommend Bajaj DTSI-10000 engine oil as said in manual? Where to get it?
2. Otherwise, if you advise another brand, kindly mention the brand name with xxWyy thing with cost(if possible!)
...never used it before...maybe you can use it and share your experience otherwise use motul mineral oil 3000 15W50 costs 210 rs
don't go beyond 55 first 1000 kms and 65 till 2000 km...slackness is the maximum vertical movement of chain at its loosest point ( middle )...official is 25-35 but if it's making a lot rattling noise tell SC guys to tighten it upOriginally posted by whytryharder View Post3. How to ensure a smooth run-in period and optimum slackness in tyres? What does 25-35mm slackness means?
More to come!
Shall be grateful for replies!

When you do teflon coating it eats a little paint each time. It's not good if done very often. You can do wax polishing.Originally posted by tannmm View Post2.d color(RED) iz slightly fading....so shld i go fr some kind of polish ...
i hav done d teflon coating..
tighten, lube the chain and clean the carb may reduce some noise.Originally posted by tannmm View Post3.d same problem of chain+engine noise...bike doesn't giv d feel dat was der in d

lube the chain every 200 kms
change the engine oilOriginally posted by tannmm View Post4.gear shifter makes some hard noise while shifting...any solution or it jst happens...

While oiling the chain, if accidently, your concentration is distracted like someone calls you and you start looking at him. In the mean time if you didnot pay attention towards your hands then there might be the possibility of grinding the fingers in sprockets. This was about to happen with me once but luckily did'nt happened. Everyone might not be as lucky as i was at that time.Originally posted by akshit View Posthowz that going to happen??

I know two guys from SC who have lost their thumbs into sprocket while servicing pulsar but one was fortunate he immediately admitted to neighborhood hospital and they sewed detached thumb back to his palmOriginally posted by akshit View Postlol.. nice theory and lucky you.. cause i can imagine if finger comes sprockets (ouuccchhhhhhh..)
