that's what i felt too. this is stage one of the mod.
for stage two... i'm planning on adding on something like the R6 rear fender... (the black plastic bit)

have to work out on what i need to do to get it to look something like that.
don't want it to turn out looking gawdy.
also need to make sure it doesn't touch the tyre while riding with a pillion.

since this is ur first try with this oil... check your oil level every weekend... just to be safe.

i end up topping up the 300V on my bike every 2000 clicks or so.

yup... will do. i took a few pics of the process... will post it in a bit.

cost incurred is 280 rupees... which is the price of the P135 part.

      • [QUOTE=xionite;623987]my P18O fender eliminator kit.

pulled over somewhere at Khargar... took a few cell-phone pics.

still have to put on the indicators...
i've never really liked the stock indicators... too "fluttery".

i felt as it is very tiny.... but it will be very awesome after modded like r6, with indicators on it...best wishes...may that happens soon.....

the red bit is where the P180 mounting points are.
the green bit is where i drilled in holes to mount the P135 fender.

this is the part i sawed off initially...
have to see how i can fix part of this back onto the P135 fender.
will have to chop off the lower part tho.

the green bit is where the P135 indicators "lock in"...
the red bit is where the P180 locks in.

so i just sawed off the stubs on the P180 indicator.
didn't want to risk the P135 fender cracking.
it was a pain in the rear to find out as it is.

as few more angles of the rear... it kinda works as is too.

the only reason i'm worried about adding the plastic bit under/after the P135 fender...
is coz i don't want some idiot riding into the back of my bike at a signal or while i'm in traffic.

coz the the license plate would "stick out"... past the rear cowl & tyre.

          with no "protection."

          • @xionite:

Wow! Thanks for sharing the DIY. Why not use the old fender, you could cut the part below 'XIONITE' and then use the upper part. Use the black fender as lengthner and then attach the P135 metal fender to it?

            • ^^ yes. that's more or less one of the options i have in mind.

gotta set aside time for this mod tho.

                      • My bike's sarre guard has cracked by bottom bolt. It's even got detached from there. Now it's just hanging by the other upper bolt. This was going to happen someday, I knew since the day I purchased the bike. Probably this saree guard wasn't 'Direct fit' on my bike.

Now I have two options as I want to retain it.
                        1. Get it replaced under warranty.
                        or 2. Get it welded.
                        what should I do?

Have you putted after market saree guard on your bike? (I ask this as you said that 'THIS saree guard wasnot direct fit on the bike').

Stock is the best option get it replaced as welding will spoil the asthetics of bike. I wonder if this is covered under warranty? Rather you will have to apply for insurance.

                                - you'll need masking tape (for the indicators)
                                - a can of matt black paint
                                - 400 grit and 1200 grit sand/emery paper

remove your tailing from the rear cowl assembly.

then sand it down with the 400 grit paper (wet)

                                clean the surface.

                                wipe/clean/dry surface...

then spray on the black paint from bout 10-12 inches away
