      • Having some strange problem !!!
        Disc brake is making some sounds i dont know why !!!!

        And the bike is not accelerating in high RPM .....

        what to do ???

          Sorry if I repost, I wonder is it possible to install the p220 rectifier to p180 UG4?
          My reason is I want to change the stock lamp to 55watt.

            Got rim tapes and White HID light....Planing to install a K&N!!!!!

            • ^ Don't go for K&N unless you're in for a serious street racing and being a cop magnet . Its a slow killer.

              Ask anybody who has used K N about their long term experience,you'll come to know.

                  Check wheel alignment. It could probably be some dust or little stones stuck into calipers. You can pour some diesel on the disk and let it dry, which might kill that sound.

                      Its not a pure HID....
                      Its a normal white light....but had to make additional adjustments in the power supply
                      Got it for 350Rs from a local dealer....
                      He had to tweak the settings....
                      Images...iam trying hard to upload a profile pic.......will take some time. sorry about that.....
                      Iam on FB in that there are couple of night shots with my bike......there you might be able to sooth your eyes.............

                        That's a nice question. Now I'm wondering the same. LOL.
                        If you aren't a frequent night rider then no need to change rectifier or RR.
                        But if you're one then you will need to change both.

                        • K&N suggestion.....help guys!!!!

                          Iam Planning to install a RC 1060 K&N filter on my Pulsar 180 UG-IV
                          Any suggestions please let me know....
                          The bike has clocked 25,000kms and returns an economy of 30-35kmpl..
                          Top speed is around 130kmph but riding usually occours 115-120 kmph....
                          Well my office is on highway NH-4.....so do get to achieve such speeds in the morning......


                          All i want to know is will be of any difference and upgrade in the numbers mentioned and are there any damages to the engine (heard lot of em saying its a slow killer)....

                          Installation guide required too if its a boom!!!!!

                          The main reason is for the sound of the bike......deeply in love with the sound......

                            It will be of no use, as Pulsar 180 UG4's alternator does'nt produces any more than 4-4.5 Amp... Thus RR will not be useful in this case, one will have to rewind the coil too.

                            • Some observation I wanted to share on tappets.

                              In my recent service, they adjusted it and its now slightly more loose than it should be. Not really a problem but the differences is quite noticeable. For example, earlier my bike would struggle in cold starts. The idle rpm would register a difference of as much 800rpm from cold to hot. (say if my cold start RPM was 900, it would becomes 1600-1700 after the engine became hot). Now, the cold start RPM is 900 and rises to 1100 when warm and the idling is much more stable now. The tik-tik sound has increased but there's a remarkable drop in vibes. Earlier, I picked up vibes on the footrest all the way from idle to 4K rpm, now that is gone. Now, however, the engine makes a more aggressive noise under hard acceleration - kinda like a knock but not exactly a knock. I heard the same noise on my colleague who has a UG4 and is running loose tappets.
                              Evidently, loose tappets are better than tight ones. My mileage (the stint included two high-speed runs and a fair bit of ripping) is 42. On Motul 5100. Terribly miss 300V.

                                We have a lot of P180UG4's running a 55/60W H4 bulb with no issues at all. 4 of my friends have got it done on their UG4's.
                                Just change the pilot and the number plate lights to LEDs.
