yep.....it happens when you cross 8k RPM and enter into red line. The sound brings shiver to my back too.....but yes dude be very careful while doing this on wet surface as you might slip......the retarding force generated is also huge and pulls backward as soon as you leave the accelarator...

yeah....very true mate...its power is really amazing..
but i dont think that sound changes after 8k. because i was in very slow but sound changes even in 5-6 k as well. only sound changes when accelerate very fastly

Hey do u have any idea regarding installation of a K&N filter for our bikes....should i or not...big time confused!!!!

many people says that its harmfull... dont know exactly. any way dont like to install one in my bike.
but really love that roar...ridden my friends karizma with kn. dont felt any power increase unless i felt some power drop in it. but roar was amazing ...really like a lion..but now its possible in our 180 to...

Seriously talking about the retarding force,you have to be really careful about that.I learned it the hard way.I would suggest if possible it is always best to gradually reduce the throttle rather than closing it completely, when above 7K rpm that is.

NO dont go for it... a waste at INR 1500, overheats the engine...
itz just sounds good and you can experience an increase in acceleration with proper upjetting, but no increase in top speed.
but not major gains...
I had now got rid of it...

I just want to say that i love my P180 very much. Dont know these days but the bike is not talking to me. Find it very rough early morning and even at night after finishing office. I dont want to say goodbye to it like the other day in front of CBR250R!!!! I havent booked it yet but this red 180 is not letting me go....somewhere down the line i have changed my mind and iam sticking to my P180......
Dont know but somewhere just found out it has life too which revolves around mine.
Everytime i reach office all i do is open up the CBR thread and keep looking for updates....and down the parking lot the bike is ready to drop me back home through the deserted highway.....Feel bad though, i have ripped the bike apart when being late for office or in anger!!!! and it didnt give away...not even once...it hold me right there where it had to be......

I think this was the most hardest part ever in my life...letting go my dream for reality!!!!!

Well, you know if the 180 can take you down for a few years more you can always save up and move up higher than the CBR250R. And yeah, the 180 is just an amazing machine. I guess the 180,200 and the 220 take the pedigree of Pulsars in a whole new world - and often times, the stereotypes thrust upon Pulsars (reliability, quality etc) are absolutely unjustified.

But no worries dude.... parents would alwayz miss their children's young age when they grow up. Just understand that itz time for your p180 to grow up and he has finished his exams and you are waiting for the result...
Soon when the result arrives the p180's soul would slowly get accustomed to his new body and he would be missing his old costume...

Absolutely right, that is pure BS. It has spread like a virus and engulfed many who are using THIS kind of forums to decide upon which bike to buy.
According to me 180 gives me a new feeling every other day,it doesn't stay static like other bikes..... which some one has wrongly interpreted as having"Reliability issues" and broadcasted it on every other bike forum ...its the nature pulsar.

I am pretty much sure that many might have checked "No I don't own a pulsar" just because they hate pulsar in the Offtopic pulsar tee thread.

hi the also heard about this oil they say it is bad as there is a lot of gear sleep edge with this hence sticking on with 5100 15w50. Just got my 2 bottles.

Mate I am really there with you brother even I have cancelled my booking but will await for the cbr 150 which is due next year.

Well that is after I see the bike not before that there r no plans to change her definitely not. There is no other brand so good that a 180cc. No hassles nothing just get the service done in time u r relaxed. I have clocked 8700km and she is strong just waiting for my 10,000km service I will just get the plug change new filter and new engine oil which I always change no matter what.

Get my chain cleaned maybe if it is necessary well I dont want to screw her no ways. She is absolutely not giving me any trouble.
