That kinda difference K&N doesnt make man.

Even if you glue your helmet to the handle and your belly to the tank you can never add 10kmph in your top, indian bikes and here in case PULSAR is not tested in wind tunnel, it's fairing gives a damn in cutting drag,it's not at all aerodynamically made, so even if you do all that stuff, it wont nudge a speedo into the the figures you have quoted.

you are having some serious speedo errors there.
    K no wrestling here
I do have the proof of what I had written about lubing, leaning etc,.
There is not even slightest possibility of random speedo error as its digital and like every other new bike it runs on pulse tech. I'm aware about the CONSTANT error in speedo of pulsar like every other bike (none has perfect speedo even r15) but that doesn't mean that speedo shows any random speed....error is there but it's constant and stable.
    I'm finished here..

      OIL FOR -
i am not happy with the headlights of our ride. low beam is parallel and high beam is inclined.
      how to fix this?
engine oil : I will not agree with abhi here...lot of people are being goofed at SC...SC put any shitty oil...buy your own can...I would suggest go for motul 3000 15w50 mineral oil

and the beam can be adjusted...there is a screw behind headlight to adjust the beam vertically...

But be carefull when taking corners on high speeds while tucking coz you un-intentionally tend to lean more while tucking.

+ rather than lubing the chain and using premium petrol's that cost some 60-70rs...try using a 38-40 T rear sprocket if you guys are totally intrested in top end...Im personally using 38 on my pulsar180 v1...it does a lot of justice to the bike as I have to commute on nh everyday.
+1 ya bike can do with sixth small gear

              Doesn't it ruin clutch plates?

Our P180 UG4 stock is 39Tt rear change it to 37T of P220FI or DTSI 36T, you will experience that your bike rocket pasts like Hell!!, Seriously, after a fellow member here changed the sprocket to 37T. I said one of my friend owing UG4 to try it on his bike and man!! my 180 feels punny in front of his??

What do you mean by one side? It is a single piece.

To make sure we are talking about the same thing, it is the round beam in front of the engine sticking out to both sides to protect your legs and bike body in a fall. Sometimes also called leg guard or knee guard. People also fix a helmet holder onto this sometimes.

Now i dont know if it comes as as two pieces for UG4. Mine is UG3.

Sproaket always comes in set, irrespective of any UG or any bike, Ie, one for the front and one for the rear, may be he got only a single used piece from somewhere and quoted the price of it, and it's a rear unit.

                      • Guyz relax...

@lockhrt--seriously, lubing the chain wont do any good, filling premium petrol wont do either,by leaning completely the top speed increases by 2 or 3 max as i already know, and my weight is 85 is it too much?if i reduce the weight to 55 then i would be flying while hitting top speed

@renny-you are right and changing the sprockets does makes a difference as someone said.

@Renny, Alyson is talking about the crash guard or say Leg guard, not about sprocket. BTW Renny pointed out correctly sprockets do comes in sets.

@Alyson , i guess it comes in peices, well i have to check & confirm, as logically if one side get bend or cracked due to any minor accident or even fall of bike, one should not end up paying for complete set.. any way i'll confirm u.. as i never noticed its a combo pack or comes is peices

No, UG4 has seperate knee guards on both sides. They are not attached to each other by any means. That's why they can be buyed in single pieces.

                              • Guys,
I was in mood of doing a short trip of 150kms (round), Today i got the chance. Bunked from college, and went to Khedi Ghat(bank of Narmada river).Filled 200rs Petrol and straightly started journey. Ripped the bike to 80..90...100...72..so on. The bike did'nt heated much with continuous 1-2 Hrs of riding and was absolute piece of Butter to ride. but the BUTT was paining after continuous riding, Had to take one small break for that Also, the wind blasts by Trucks.. did bothered me some what to ride slow, But, i did'nt cared and hitted, scratched knees onto corners. All my aggression that i saved in city by riding slowly came out and bike took it all. Unfortunately the plan was immediate and i did'nt carried my cell or camera to college so cannot take pics. Will be doing a 600kms round journey this weekend, Will post the pictures then..
